If you are not satisfied with your car, you can initiate a return request via the Cars24 mobile app within 30 days of your car delivery date, provided you are the original purchaser of the vehicle. Our support team will call to fix a convenient time and place, conduct a re-inspection to confirm the car is in the same condition where a detailed summary will also be shared with you, and begin the return process. Once the inspection is completed and your request verified, you will have to drop off the vehicle and your nearest Cars24 hub. We keep you updated at each step so the process stays simple and customer-first. After verification, your refund is processed within 3 working days, and if the car is on loan, loan cancellation may take up to 15 days in line with the policy’s clear terms.

What are the terms and conditions for the car to be eligible for return?

You can return your car within 30 days of delivery if it has been driven less than 999 km and is in the same condition as delivered. The car can only be returned by the original purchaser, and must not have any damage, modification, or accident post-delivery, and all original accessories, documents, and keys must be returned. During the re-inspection, any difference from the original delivery condition may affect the refund amount. These checks ensure fairness and transparency for every customer.

When will I get my refund after I return the car?

We start the refund process as soon as the car is dropped off at the nearest Cars24 hub. Our executive will contact you for any needed details, and once everything is verified, the refund will be processed within 3 to 4 working days, provided that it was an outright purchase (and not on loan). If the car was financed, loan cancellation with the lender can take up to 15 days, and the entire refund process may take 25 to 30 business days. You’ll get clear, timely updates at each step so the process stays smooth and worry-free.

How do I start a return under the 30-Day Guarantee?

You can raise a return request within 30 days of delivery through the Cars24 App or by emailing support@cariotauto.com. After you submit the request, our team will contact you to understand the reason, schedule a re-inspection, and share a summary of the findings. Once the inspection is complete, you can drop the car at your nearest Cars24 hub, and your refund will be initiated. The process is straightforward and designed to make returns as smooth and convenient as possible.

What if my RC transfer is already completed?

If the RC (Registration Certificate) transfer is complete, deductions apply as per the return window:0 to 7 days: 15 % of the car price or ₹40,000 (whichever is higher)8 to 30 days: same deduction as above.These deductions are clearly listed in the policy, so every customer knows the refund breakdown in advance.

What will the refund payment method be?

Regardless of how you paid at the time of purchase, all refunds are processed online. If you made your payment online, your original method of payment will get the refund.

What if there’s an accessory missing at the time of refund?

If there’s any change in the vehicle’s condition at the time, or an accessory is missing with respect to the checklist you signed during purchase, a proportional amount as arrived at by our technical team will be deducted, and the remaining amount will be duly refunded.
