How Long Does the Cars24 Lifetime Warranty Last?

The Cars24 Lifetime Warranty is available in three tenures that can be opted for based on individual buyer needs. This includes a 3-Year Plan, a 5-Year Plan, and a 5+ Year Plan. Each plan is subject to a maximum cap of up to 12 years from your car's first registration date or 1,50,000 km on the odometer (whichever comes first).

The standard used car warranty in India runs 6 to 12 months, with only a handful of platforms stretching warranty to up to a year. Even with our shortest Lifetime Warranty Plan (3 Years), you get three times longer protection, with the longest plan offering up to twelve times longer protection, on the systems that matter most.

The plan covers three systems: the engine, the transmission, and the drivetrain, and this stays the same no matter which plan you choose. These are the three most expensive components in any vehicle. 1. File a claim: Through the 'Warranty' option on the Cars24 app, before any repair work begins. Claims made by phone, email or through a workshop aren't accepted; only the app claim counts.
2. Get Approval: Cars24 confirms coverage and directs you to the nearest certified workshop or OEM service centre
3. Cashless repair. The vehicle is repaired using OEM/OES-grade parts, with both parts and labour covered by Cars24.
4. Drive On: Keep servicing every 12 months/10,000 km at a Cars24-certified workshop or OEM centres, and your coverage continues.

Vehicle Eligibility

• Petrol and diesel vehicles only. Electric vehicles are not eligible
• Vehicle must be 12 years old or newer at the time of purchase
• Must not have been driven more than 1,50,000 km at the time of purchase
• The plan is for personal use only. It is not eligible if used as a taxi, fleet, rental, delivery, driving school, company pool or demo vehicle

Service Requirement: What Keeps the Warranty Valid

To keep the warranty active, the car must be serviced every 12 months or 10,000 km, whichever comes first. Services can be done at a Cars24-certified workshop or an OEM authorised service centre, and a GST invoice is mandatory at claim time. This isn't a technicality designed to keep you out. It's the same standard the warranty is built on: proper, documented maintenance means Cars24 can stand behind the car's condition long-term.

Payment and Transferability

The Lifetime Warranty is a one-time payment made when you choose your plan, with no renewal fees after that. It is non-transferable and covers the original buyer only. If the car is resold, the warranty does not carry over to the new owner.

Every used car under the Cars24-Owned Stock inventory comes bundled with a 30-day repair assurance, valid up to 1,500 km from the date of purchase, plus a 12-month standard warranty already built into the purchase price. Together, that's 13 months of protection included with every purchase, at no extra cost, to ensure a hassle-free start to ownership.

The Lifetime Warranty Plan is an optional cover that extends this protection further once that initial 13 months is up. Since every buyer has a different warranty requirement and budget, Cars24 offers the Lifetime Warranty Plan in 3 distinct offerings:

• A 3-Year Plan (₹10,000 + GST) suitable for buyers of slightly older vehicles that may be nearing the end of life.
• A 5-Year Plan (₹15,000 + GST) suitable for buyers who are purchasing a moderately older vehicle or for those who simply wish to resell the vehicle within a 5-year period.
• A 5+ Year Plan (₹20,000 + GST) suitable for buyers who wish to keep their vehicle for the long term and are desirous of a plan that offers maximum protection for years to come.
