EM90 variants : price & spec cards
Volvo EM90
The Volvo EM90 is the brand’s first all-electric luxury MPV. Built on the SEA platform, it shares its underpinnings with the Zeekr 009, thereby ensuring a spacious and tech-laden cabin. The EM90 offers a powerful electric drivetrain, advanced safety features, and a luxurious interior designed for chauffeur-driven comfort. While the Volvo EM90 is currently available in select global markets, its India launch remains uncertain.
However, given the rising demand for premium electric vehicles, Volvo might consider introducing it to the Indian market in the future. The Volvo EM90 will likely target corporate executives who prioritize space, comfort, and zero-emission mobility. If Volvo decides to bring it to India, it will be through the CBU route.
The Volvo EM90 price in India is expected to be around ₹1-1.2 crore (ex-showroom). As Volvo's first all-electric luxury MPV, it will cater to premium buyers looking for a spacious and tech-loaded EV. The on-road price may go higher depending on taxes and registration fees. While Volvo has not officially confirmed its India launch, the rising demand for luxury electric vehicles could make the EM90 a potential addition to the Indian lineup. If introduced, it will compete in the high-end electric MPV segment.
The Volvo EM90 specs position it as a premium all-electric MPV with modern technology and luxury. Globally, it features a 116 kWh battery pack, delivering a range of up to 738 km (CLTC cycle). A 268 hp (200 kW) electric motor powers the rear wheels, ensuring smooth performance. Inside, the EM90 boasts a 15.4-inch infotainment screen, 21-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system, and a smart cabin with AI-powered assistance. It offers advanced driver-assist features, premium materials, and a spacious, lounge-like interior. If launched in India, the Volvo EM90 will redefine electric luxury mobility in the MPV segment.
The Volvo EM90 will compete with luxury MPVs like the Toyota Vellfire, Lexus LM, and Mercedes-Benz V-Class in India. While these models offer premium comfort, the EM90’s electric powertrain, long range, and Scandinavian design should set it apart.
