Outline

BMW Group India has announced that prices across its BMW and MINI range will go up by up to 2% from 1 July 2026. The announcement was made on 8 June 2026 and covers all models in the portfolio, whether they are locally produced or imported as completely built-up units.

Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO of BMW Group India, attributed the revision to macroeconomic headwinds, specifically citing rupee depreciation and escalating logistics costs as the primary factors. The company stated the adjustment is necessary to maintain the premium standards and quality of service that buyers expect.

Which BMW & MINI models are affected

BMW M440i xDrive Convertible

The price hike covers the entire BMW and MINI lineup sold in India. On the locally produced side, this includes the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, 3 Series Long Wheelbase, 5 Series Long Wheelbase, 7 Series, X1, X3, X5, X7, M340i, and the iX1 Long Wheelbase.

Among the completely built-up (CBU) models, the increase applies to the BMW i5 M60, i7, i7 M70, iX, M440i Convertible, M2 Coupe, M4 Competition, M5, and XM. All MINI vehicles in India are also covered under this revision.

Here's how the July 2026 price hike affects you

A 2% price hike may not sound like much, but it can have a noticeable impact on luxury car prices. For an entry-level BMW priced around Rs 45-50 lakh, the increase could add roughly Rs 90,000 to Rs 1 lakh. On premium models such as the BMW 7 Series or the BMW iX, which cost well over Rs 1 crore, the increase could exceed Rs 2 lakh. Buyers planning a purchase may therefore benefit from completing their booking before the end of June.

BMW India Financial Services continues to offer financing options including attractive EMI plans, reduced interest rates on select models, assured buyback programmes, and flexible end-of-term options. The July 2026 price revision follows a trend seen across the luxury car segment, where manufacturers periodically adjust prices to account for rising costs and currency fluctuations.
