Maruti Suzuki has announced that the Brezza has crossed 1.5 million cumulative sales. The company made the announcement on October 15, 2026, and calls the Brezza India’s highest-selling compact SUV.

The milestone comes as the New Brezza, launched in July 2026, records strong demand. Maruti Suzuki says it has received more than 1 lakh bookings for the new model.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza’s sales record

Maruti Suzuki’s highest-selling compact SUV claim is based on sales from February 2015 to May 2026. JATO Dynamics certified the data on July 7, 2026. The company says 56% of buyers consider the Brezza before beginning their purchase process. It also says the SUV appeals to working professionals, young achievers and buyers who value social expression.

New Maruti Suzuki Brezza bookings and features

Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift Quater Front Profile Red Exterior

Since its launch in July 2026, Maruti Suzuki says the New Brezza has received more than 1 lakh bookings. The facelifted Brezza gets a revised front fascia with a new grille, updated front bumper, triangular inserts around the fog lamps and a reworked skid plate. The side cladding has also been updated, while redesigned dual-tone alloy wheels complete the exterior changes.

Inside, the Brezza gets ventilated front seats, a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen and a brushed copper finish on parts of the dashboard. Other updates include 64-colour ambient lighting, new leatherette upholstery and an integrated air purifier.

New turbo-petrol engine and transmission changes

The 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift gets a new 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine that produces 109 hp and 170 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, which also replaces the older 5-speed unit across the petrol manual range.

The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine continues with manual and automatic gearbox options. The CNG variant now gets an underbody-mounted tank, freeing up more boot space. Maruti Suzuki has also replaced the traditional spare wheel with a tyre puncture repair kit across the range.
