BMW India officially launched the new X6 M60i xDrive in India, pricing it at Rs 1,77,90,000 (ex-showroom). The model is being sold as a Completely Built-Up Unit, meaning it is imported without any local assembly. Given its positioning, it targets a narrow but growing group of buyers who want a large but powerful luxury coupe-SUV.
Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO of BMW Group India, described the X6 M60i as a vehicle built for those who want both visual authority and genuine performance from the same package. The price is exclusive of road tax, TCS, RTO charges, and insurance costs, so the on-road figure in metros will be considerably higher.

The BMW X6 M60i xDrive is powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine with BMW's M TwinPower Turbo technology. It produces 530 bhp (390 kW) at 5,500 rpm and 750 Nm of torque, available between 1,800 rpm and 4,600 rpm. These numbers put it firmly among the most powerful vehicles currently on sale in India in the Rs 1-2 crore bracket.
The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, while top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h. The engine is paired with an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission with paddle shifters. BMW has also equipped it with a 48V mild-hybrid system to support the petrol engine. The car rides on Adaptive M suspension with electronically controlled dampers that adjust the damping rate depending on the selected drive mode. It also features Integral Active Steering with rear-wheel steering, which increases turn-in agility at low speeds and improves high-speed stability. M Sport brakes with red-painted callipers are standard across all variants. BMW claims a 50:50 weight distribution, which is notable for a vehicle of this size and contributes to the balanced handling that the X6 M-spec models are associated with.
