Hyundai India future plans

 

The carmaker has stated that the Indian market will see Hyundai’s first tailor-made EV for India by 2030, which will be built via a localised supply chain. It also plans to increase its net global production capacity by 12 lakh units, 2.5 lakh of which shall be contributed by its Pune plant. Hyundai’s luxury arm — Genesis — is also expected to be introduced to India in the near future.

Speaking of international markets, Hyundai aims to go big on EVs and hybrids. It has announced targets to achieve 55 lakh units of global sales by 2030, 33 lakh of which are expected to come from electrified vehicles. Its hybrid lineup shall be expanded to more than 18 models, including Genesis models. 

 

The South Korean carmaker plans to launch its first mid-size pickup truck in North America by 2030. It also plans to invest 2.7 billion dollars and create over 3,000 jobs in Georgia.
