Skoda Superb diesel 4x4 spotted in India — All that we know about it

Skoda India showcased the latest generation of the Superb sedan earlier this year in Delhi, at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo. The car has now been spotted in Maharashtra, and it appears to be the same unit that was displayed at the Expo, given the identical colour, trim, and powertrain combination. Here’s all that we know about the sedan.
New Skoda Superb design
The new Superb features Skoda’s new ‘Modern Solid’ design language, and gets the instantly-recognisable octagonal grille at the front. The Skoda logo is now 2-D, and the front face looks sharper than its predecessor. Things seem to have softened a bit at the rear though, with curvier lines and slim lights.

Fourth-gen Skoda Superb interior and features
There’s a revamped interior on the car, featuring a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system with ChatGPT integration, a 10-inch digital driver’s display, rotary dials for climate controls, seat ventilation, and other controls, steering mounted gear selector, and a new design for the air-con vents that runs through the whole length of the dashboard.
Skoda Superb powertrain
The Superb is available with a variety of powertrain options in global markets. While the outgoing India-spec model came with a 2.0-litre TSI engine, Skoda is also mulling to bring back its diesel engines with the Superb. The car that was spotted had a 2.0-litre TDI engine with a 4x4 setup.

Skoda Superb India launch details
The new Superb is likely to be launched in India in the next few months. The exact date of launch is yet to be confirmed. It will come in as a CBU, thus demanding a significantly high price tag.
