The new Honda City facelift has officially gone on sale in India with six monotone exterior colour options. Five shades have been carried forward from the earlier model, while the old Golden Brown finish has now been replaced by a new Crystal Black Pearl shade.

The Honda City is available in four trims: SV, V, ZX, and ZX+. The base SV manual variant is offered in four colours: Platinum White Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Obsidian Blue Pearl, and Crystal Black Pearl. From the V variant onwards, buyers get access to the full six-colour palette, which also includes Radiant Red Metallic and Meteoroid Gray Metallic. The Honda City e:HEV is also available in all six monotone colour options.

The new Honda City receives one of its most noticeable design updates so far, giving the sedan a sharper and more modern appearance. At the front, it gets Honda’s new Blade-Eye Signature LED lighting setup with a slim LED light bar across the grille, split DRLs, and a gloss-black Matrix-Mesh grille.

At the rear, the sedan now features updated Z-Edge LED tail lamps for a fresher look. Higher ZX+ variants also get a trunk spoiler and new Aero-Blade diamond-cut alloy wheels for a sportier appearance. The e:HEV hybrid version is further differentiated with exclusive badging.

Honda City powertrain options

 

Honda City Facelift

 

The Honda City continues with both petrol and strong hybrid powertrain options. The regular petrol version uses a 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine paired with either a manual gearbox or CVT automatic. Honda also offers the City e strong hybrid that combines a 1.5-litre Atkinson-cycle petrol engine with a dual-motor hybrid setup. The hybrid version delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of 27.26kmpl while also getting features such as regenerative braking and EV drive capability.

Prices for the 2026 Honda City facelift range from around Rs 12 lakh to Rs 21 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated sedan is now available at Honda dealerships across India, with bookings and deliveries already underway. The new City facelift continues to rival the Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus, and Skoda Slavia in the midsize sedan segment.
