- 1Tata Tiago comes in 6 trims - Smart, Pure, Pure+, Pure+ A, Creative, Creative+
- 2CNG range starts at Rs. 5.79 lakh
- 3Six colour options including three new shades
Tata Motors has launched the 2026 Tata Tiago. The new model starts at Rs 4.69 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 7.99 lakh for the top Creative+ trim. The update is more than cosmetic, with a redesigned exterior, a fully new interior, and a significantly upgraded feature list. The Tiago also aligns with Tata’s recent product updates across its lineup, including models like the Punch, Harrier, Safari, and Altroz CNG AMT, bringing it in line with the brand’s current design language.
New Tata Tiago design

The 2026 Tata Tiago exterior design closely matches the official teasers shared before launch. At the front, it gets sleeker LED headlamps, a slimmer and higher-set grille, and a redesigned bumper with a larger air dam. The front now looks more upright and structured compared to the outgoing model.
On the sides, changes are limited to new 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and black wheel arch cladding. At the rear, it gets connected tail-lamps with a full-width design element, though the centre section is not illuminated. The tail-lamps also feature updated internal graphics, giving a more modern look.
There are no changes to size. The Tiago continues with a length of 3,767 mm, a 2,400 mm wheelbase, and 170 mm ground clearance.
2026 Tata Tiago colours — Three fresh additions to the palette
Tata Motors has updated the colour options for the 2026 Tata Tiago with three new shades: Pangong Pulse, Varanasi Vibrance, and Sobo Surge. These are now joined by three existing colours: Pristine White, Pure Grey, and Daytona Grey. In total, the Tiago is available in six exterior colour options.
New-gen Tata Tiago interior
The biggest change in the 2026 Tata Tiago is inside the cabin. Tata has replaced the earlier curved dashboard with a flatter, more modern layout. The instrument binnacle has been removed and replaced with a fully digital instrument cluster. A freestanding 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system now sits in the centre, with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.

The two-spoke steering wheel continues but gets updated controls. AMT variants now use a rotary gear selector instead of a traditional gear lever, along with a redesigned centre console. The cabin also gets a new dual-tone theme for a fresher look. Feature additions include dual wireless charging pads, rear AC vents, auto-folding ORVMs, a cooled glovebox, a 4-speaker audio system, connected car features, and USB Type-C ports for both front and rear passengers.
New Tata Tiago safety — six airbags as standard
Six airbags are now standard across all variants of the 2026 Tiago, which is a significant step up from what entry-level hatchbacks have traditionally offered. The safety kit also includes ESP, traction control, ABS with EBD, a blind view monitor, cruise control, rollover mitigation, and a 360-degree camera. ISOFIX child seat anchor points are also part of the package.
New Tata Tiago engine options

Mechanically, the 2026 Tiago stays on the X-Alfa platform and retains the familiar 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. It produces 86hp and 113Nm of torque in petrol guise. Gearbox choices are a five-speed manual and a five-speed AMT. The CNG variant produces 75.5hp and 96.5Nm, and it too is available with both gearbox choices. Tata uses a twin-cylinder CNG implementation that saves boot space compared to a single larger cylinder setup. The CNG variant is priced starting at Rs. 5.79 lakh.
Paddle shifters on the AMT — A segment first

One of the key updates in the new Tata Tiago is the addition of paddle shifters for the AMT variant. Tata says this is a segment-first feature at this price point and adds a more engaging driving feel to the automatic version. The CNG AMT variant also gets paddle shifters, which makes it more useful for iCNG buyers who earlier did not have this option.
2026 Tata Tiago variants and prices
The 2026 Tata Tiago petrol is offered in six variants: Smart, Pure, Pure+, Pure+ A, Creative, and Creative+. Prices start at Rs. 4.69 lakh for the base Smart and go up to Rs. 7.99 lakh for the Creative+. The CNG range starts at Rs. 5.79 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
