Hyundai has released a fresh teaser video of the upcoming Bayon, this time focusing squarely on the SUV's LED daytime running lights. The reveal comes just days after Hyundai officially confirmed the name of its upcoming Intelligent SUV and followed that up with the vehicle's first design sketches, suggesting the brand is steadily building anticipation ahead of a full unveiling closer to launch.
What the new Hyundai Bayon teaser shows
The new teaser gives a closer look at the Hyundai Bayon’s front-end lighting. It features dual-function LED daytime running lamps, which Hyundai calls its H-Edge lighting signature. The setup has two separate elements. The main unit is placed horizontally and is expected to also work as a turn indicator. A smaller vertical LED unit sits below it. Together, they give the Bayon a split-lighting design.
The teaser car is finished in a deep red shade. However, this does not confirm that red will be available as a production colour.
Hyundai Bayon design — What we know so far
The new teaser, along with Hyundai’s earlier design sketches, gives a better idea of the Bayon’s overall design. It is expected to get a sculpted bonnet, pronounced fenders, wide lower air intakes, a skid plate and fog lamp housings. Hyundai says the design follows its Art of Steel philosophy, with sharp character lines, strong surfaces and a muscular stance.
Spy shots of test cars also show flared wheel arches, an upright rear windscreen, horizontal LED tail-lights and a roof-mounted spoiler. The Bayon is expected to be around 4.2 to 4.3 metres long, with a longer wheelbase and wider track than the current Venue.
Inside, the design sketches show a layout with dual 12.3-inch screens for the infotainment and driver display. It is also expected to get a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and red interior accents.
Why Hyundai is calling the Bayon an Intelligent Utility Vehicle
Hyundai refers to the Bayon as an "Intelligent Utility Vehicle", or IUV, instead of simply calling it an SUV or crossover. The term suggests that connected and intelligent technology could be an important part of the Bayon. Hyundai has also used the term "intelligent mobility" while talking about the model.
When will the Hyundai Bayon launch in India
The Hyundai Bayon is expected to launch in India around the festive season, possibly in October 2026, ahead of Diwali. Hyundai has not confirmed the exact launch date yet. The company is expected to reveal more details about the Bayon, including its features and specifications, through upcoming teasers.
