Hyundai car prices hiked from May 2026 — To rise across all model
- 1Hyundai India will raise prices of all models by up to 1% from May 2026
- 2This is Hyundai's second price hike in 2026
- 3Venue has already seen two price hikes in 2026 and may face a third
While most carmakers announced price hikes in April 2026, Hyundai Motor India has pushed its update to May. The company has confirmed a price increase of up to 1% across its entire lineup. If you are planning to buy a Hyundai, this is a good time to act. Prices will go up once May begins.
Hyundai car prices to hike — What the 1% hike means in real rupees

A 1% hike may not sound like much, but the actual impact depends on the car you choose. Hyundai Motor India has said the increase will vary by model and variant. In simple terms, the price jump can be small or noticeable. For entry-level cars like the Grand i10 Nios, it could be around Rs 5,500 to Rs 7,000. But for higher-end models like the Ioniq 5, the increase can go above Rs 40,000.
This will be Hyundai’s second price hike in 2026. There was already a small increase in January. Models like the Venue have seen multiple revisions this year, so prices have been gradually moving up.

Hyundai blames cost escalations for May 2026 price hike

Hyundai Motor India says the price hike is mainly due to rising input costs. In simple terms, building cars has become more expensive, so a part of that cost is being passed on to buyers. This is not just Hyundai. Many carmakers have already increased prices from April 2026 for the same reason. Costs related to raw materials, logistics, and supply chains have all gone up.
At some point, companies have to balance it out. That usually means a small price increase for customers.
