Mahindra car sales in January 2025 register 18% YoY increase

Mahindra and Mahindra has released its January 2025 sales figures, which reveal an 18% year-on-year increase compared to January 2024. While the rest of the automotive industry is registering a slump in sales in the beginning of the year, Mahindra has posted a strong growth and is getting huge response for its upcoming range of born electric SUVs. Mahindra cars January 2025 sales
Mahindra and Mahindra dispatched 50,659 SUVs to its dealerships across the country in the month of January 2025. Mahindra registered an 18% YoY increase compared to January 2024, wherein the carmaker dispatched 43,068 units. If we include exports into the count, Mahindra dispatched 52,306 units in the month of January 2025. Mahindra has posted monthly dispatches above 50,000 for the third time in January, following the achievement in September and October 2024.

Popular models continue to rise
Mahindra is on its way to break its previous best-year sales record in this FY2025. Mahindra achieved its best yearly sales in FY2024, delivering 4,59,877 cars. Given the momentum the carmaker is proceeding with, the previous sales record will be crossed before this financial year ends. A few popular models under Mahindra’s portfolio bringing majority of sales include the Scorpio and Bolero duos, XUV700, Thar and Thar Roxx. Mahindra cars year-to-date sales
Speaking about year to date sales for the financial year 2025, Mahindra and Mahindra dispatched 4,53,019 units which is an increase of 20% over last year’s figure (3,76,832 units). As mentioned earlier, by the end of this financial year 2025, Mahindra is likely to break its previous best-ever sales record.

Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd said., “We began the new year by selling 50659 SUVs, a growth of 18% and 85432 total vehicles, a growth of 16%. Our Electric Origin SUVs, BE6 and XEV 9E garnered a lot of interest at the recently concluded Bharat Mobility Global Expo held in New Delhi. We commenced the test drive for these vehicles on the 14 th of January and are excited about bringing these vehicles to our customers. Bookings for these vehicles will commence on 14 th February.”
