Mahindra has launched India’s first authentic electric origin 7-seater, the XEV 9S. It’s designed with families in mind, offering ample space and a host of features. The new Mahindra electric SUV is built from the ground up on the INGLO architecture and guided by the brain of MAIA. The XEV 9S comes in four trims and six colour options. The XEV 9S offers the largest cabin space in its segment, with 4,076 litres for the front and second row, while the boot can hold up to 527 litres. Mahindra XEV 9S launched — Select your preference date
For anyone looking to pre-add the Mahindra XEV 9S to their cart, you can save your preferred variant, battery configuration, and colour starting from 14th December 2025. This 7-seater Mahindra electric SUV comes in four main trims. Pack One Above is available with two battery configurations: 59 kWh and 79 kWh. Pack Two Above offers 70 kWh and 79 kWh options. Pack Three and Pack Three Above come with a single 79 kWh battery option.
As for colour choices, the Mahindra XEV 9S comes in Ruby Velvet, Stealth Black, Desert Myst, Everest White, Midnight Black, and Nebula Blue.
Mahindra XEV 9S launched test drive
The Mahindra XEV 9S test drive will begin on the 5th of January 2026. Buyers can visit their nearest dealership to book a slot. Test drive appointments can be reserved either in person at the showroom or online, whichever is more convenient.
New Mahindra XEV 9S booking date officially out
The 2026 Mahindra XEV 9S bookings will officially open on 14th January 2026, with a token amount expected to be around Rs 21,000. It’s likely that, as often happens, some select dealerships may start accepting bookings unofficially a little before the official launch. If you’re planning to book early it could be worth checking with your local dealer. But be aware that anything done before the official window carries some risk.
2026 Mahindra XEV 9S delivery schedule revealed
Mahindra has scheduled deliveries of the new XEV 9S to begin on January 23, 2026. Following the approach used for its siblings the XEV 9e and BE 6, deliveries are expected to start with the top spec trims before moving down the range. The Pack Three is expected to be delivered first, followed by Pack Thirty, then Pack Two Star, and finally Pack One.
