The MG Majestor was initially confirmed to launch on April 20, 2026. Following the price announcement, customer deliveries were scheduled to begin in May 2026. That date passed with no price reveal. No formal explanation was given by MG. MG has now confirmed that the Majestor SUV prices will be revealed on April 27, 2026.
2026 MG Majestor variants — Sharp and Savvy

The Majestor SUV lineup will be available in four variants: Sharp 4x2 (7-seater), Savvy 4x2 (7-seater), Savvy 4x2 (6-seater) and Savvy 4x4 (7-seater). The Majestor Sharp is the entry trim and only comes with rear-wheel drive. Savvy is the loaded trim and is the only one where you get the 4x4 option. The 6-seater configuration with captain seats in the second row is also exclusive to the Savvy variant.
MG Majestor features — What you get inside and outside
The MG Majestor gets a black cabin with silver accents. It features a 3-spoke steering wheel and dual 12.4-inch screens. The SUV is available in 6- and 7-seat layouts with leatherette upholstery as standard. Key features include a panoramic sunroof, 12-speaker JBL system, powered tailgate, 3-zone climate control, rear 220V power outlet, and dual wireless chargers.

The front seats offer 12-way power adjustment for the driver with memory, 8-way power for the co-driver, along with ventilation, massage, and 64-colour ambient lighting. Boot space is 343 litres with all rows up and expands to 1350 litres with the third row folded. It comes with MG’s i-Smart 2.0 connected tech with over 75 features, including remote AC control, live location, anti-theft, and digital key sharing. Other features include wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, paddle shifters, and a 360-degree camera.
On safety, it gets 6 airbags, Level 2 ADAS, TPMS, electronic parking brake, hill hold and descent control, and an auto-dimming IRVM. The top Savvy variant adds adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, and intelligent headlamp control.
MG Majestor engine and off-road capability
The MG Majestor uses a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine (from the MG Gloster) producing 215 hp and 478.5 Nm. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic and offers a 4WD system with low range.
For off-road use, it gets multiple terrain modes like Snow, Rock, Sand, Mud, and Normal, along with three locking differentials (front, centre, rear). It also has an M-Crawl system that controls throttle and braking on difficult terrain. The water wading capacity is 810 mm, higher than the Toyota Fortuner. MG also showcased its capability by driving it to Mount Japfu.
MG Majestor price expectation and rivals

With an expected price of Rs 40 to 45 lakh (ex-showroom), the MG Majestor will compete with the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, and Jeep Meridian. The Fortuner ranges from around Rs 34 lakh to Rs 50 lakh, the Kodiaq is priced above Rs 46 lakh, and the Meridian sits between Rs 37 lakh and Rs 46 lakh. This places the Majestor right in the middle of this segment.
The Fortuner remains the benchmark due to its strong brand value, service network, and resale. The Majestor focuses on offering more features, a larger size, and stronger off-road hardware. Pricing of the 4x4 variant will be key. If it goes above Rs 43 lakh, it will directly compete with higher Fortuner variants. MG is also offering benefits for the first 3000 customers, including a 5-year unlimited km warranty, 5-year free labour service, and 5 years of roadside assistance.
