Land Rover has unveiled the Range Rover SV Black Edition, a darker and more distinct version of its flagship SUV. The new edition brings blacked-out styling cues, unique interior updates, and feature enhancements, and will make its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK from July 10–13, 2025.
Blacked-out design package
The Range Rover SV Black Edition follows the path set by the recently revealed Defender Octa and Range Rover Sport SV Black Editions, adopting a similar Narvik Gloss Black exterior finish. The SUV features blacked-out badges, grille, brake callipers, and 23-inch alloy wheels, offering a uniform dark theme throughout the exterior.

Interior updates and features
Inside, the SV Black Edition gets ebony leather upholstery with a diagonal stitch pattern on the upper seat section. Other trim changes include black birch wood veneer and a satin-black ceramic finish for the gear selector.
Additionally, Land Rover has now made its Body-and-Soul Seat (BASS) and Sensory Floor systems standard across all SV trims. These systems use embedded transducers in the seats and floor to produce vibrations in sync with the audio system, providing a more immersive in-cabin experience. The Range Rover SV Black Edition will be offered in multiple seating and body configurations, including a five-seater standard wheelbase, and four- or five-seater long-wheelbase versions.

No mechanical changes
Under the hood, the SUV retains the 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, sourced from BMW. This powertrain delivers 615hp and 750Nm, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system. It accelerates from 0-100kph in 4.5 seconds, maintaining the performance credentials of the standard SV trim.
