

Second-gen Volkswagen T-Roc SUV unveiled — To get new strong hybrid engine!

Volkswagen has unveiled the second generation Volkswagen T-Roc, featuring a revamped interior and exterior design. The new SUV will also be the first Volkswagen car to come with a strong hybrid powertrain. Read more about the 2025 second-gen Volkswagen T-Roc SUV here.
New Volkswagen T-Roc design

The second-gen T-Roc adopts design cues from other Volkswagen SUVs like the Tiguan and Tayron, and is slightly bigger than its predecessor. It gets a large front grille with its headlights joined by a thin light bar, with the Volkswagen logo in the middle. It retains its sloping C-pillar characteristic, and features a new alloy wheel design. The rear features a similar design for the lights, with the VW logo in the middle, and T-Roc badging further down the boot lid.

2025 Volkswagen T-Roc interior and features

The interior is also in-line with other Volkswagen models. It gets a 12.9-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver’s display, multi-functional rotary dial, and steering-mounted gear shifter. Key Volkswagen T-Roc features include 14-way powered seats with massage function, Harman Kardon sound system, ambient lighting, ADAS, and more.
Second generation Volkswagen T-Roc engine options
The incoming T-Roc SUV will be powered by turbocharged hybrid petrol engines, with mild-hybrid options being offered initially, followed by strong hybrid ones, which will be a first of their kind for the German carmaker. The lineup would further see an all-wheel drive option, along with a top-of-the-line R variant. All introductory powertrains will comprise a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

New Volkswagen T-Roc India launch

The first-generation of the T-Roc was sold in limited numbers in India, and it came in as a CBU. It is unlikely that the new T-Roc will arrive here anytime soon.
