Skoda cars to get costlier from 1 October — All you need to know!

Skoda India has announced a price increase across its entire model range from 1 October 2026. The hike will vary depending on the model and variant, but will be capped at Rs 20,000. At the highest end, the increase will be around 1.2% of the ex-showroom price. Skoda has attributed the revision to rising input and operating costs.

How much more will Skoda cars cost

The exact increase will depend on the model and variant. However, Skoda has confirmed that no car in its line-up will get a hike of more than Rs 20,000, with the maximum increase working out to around 1.2%.

Customers who have already booked a Skoda and complete billing before 1 October will not be affected by the revised prices. However, bookings billed on or after 1 October will be charged at the new prices.

A busy year for Skoda in India

The price hike comes towards the end of an active year for Skoda in India. The company had planned ten product actions for 2026, covering new models, updates and new variants across its line-up.

These included the new Kushaq and Slavia, updates to the Kodiaq, and the introduction of the Kodiaq RS and Octavia RS. Skoda also added new trims and features to the Kylaq, introduced the Kylaq Sportline and rolled out the Classic+ and Prestige+ trims across its portfolio. Skoda has also recorded 72,655 retail sales in 2026. The company had already crossed the 50,000-unit mark by August, making it its strongest first half so far, with sales growth of more than 8% year-on-year.

Skoda Slavia facelift pricing due separately

The upcoming Slavia facelift will not be affected by this price revision. Skoda has already unveiled the updated sedan with revised styling and additional features, while the 1.0-litre TSI engine now gets a new 8-speed automatic gearbox instead of the earlier torque-converter unit. The Slavia facelift will get a separate pricing announcement on 6 October.

A pricier second batch of the Octavia RS

Skoda has also opened bookings for a second batch of 50 Octavia RS units. This batch is priced at Rs 56.69 lakh, ex-showroom, which is Rs 6.70 lakh more than the price at which the first batch was launched.

With the general price hike taking effect from October and separate pricing announcements due for the Slavia facelift and the latest Octavia RS batch, Skoda's India portfolio is set for several price changes over the coming weeks.
