Skoda has officially unveiled the all-new Epiq electric SUV at a global event in Zurich. The Epiq becomes Skoda’s most affordable EV so far and is positioned as a practical entry-level electric SUV for global markets.
Interestingly, the base variant is priced close to the petrol-powered Skoda Kamiq in international markets, showing how aggressively Skoda is approaching EV pricing. The Epiq is built on the new MEB+ platform, shared with upcoming Volkswagen and Cupra electric models, and marks Skoda’s first front-wheel-drive EV on this architecture.

The Skoda Epiq is also the brand’s first production model to fully adopt Skoda’s new Modern Solid design language. Compared to earlier Skoda EVs, the Epiq takes a much cleaner and more minimalist approach with a stronger focus on practicality and aerodynamics.
One of the key highlights is the new T-shaped LED lighting signature at the front and rear, which is expected to become a defining design element for future Skoda SUVs. The front also gets the new glossy black Tech-Deck Face that integrates radar and camera sensors, along with active cooling shutters and aerodynamic air channels to improve efficiency.

The Epiq measures 4,171mm in length, 1,798mm wide, and 1,581mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,601 mm. Wheels range from 17 inches to 19 inches depending on trim, with the First Edition getting exclusive 20-inch alloys. Six body colours are available, including Timiano Green, which was introduced first on the Elroq. An optional panoramic sunroof with an electric sunblind is available for buyers who want a more open feel in the cabin.

Skoda Epiq electric SUV interior

Inside, the Skoda Epiq continues the brand’s new Modern Solid design approach with a clean dashboard layout and a more open cabin feel. Despite being a compact SUV, it offers a large 475-litre boot, expandable to 1,344 litres with the rear seats folded, along with a 25-litre front storage compartment for charging cables.
Skoda has also focused heavily on practicality. The cabin gets multiple storage spaces and several “Simply Clever” touches like an umbrella in the driver’s door, an ice scraper, and dedicated cable storage.

Another important highlight is sustainability. The Epiq becomes Skoda’s first production model to use fully animal-free interior materials. Seat fabrics are made from recycled polyester, while the brand says over 34 kg of recycled materials have been used across the vehicle. Buyers will also get multiple interior themes, including Loft Grey, Loft Mint, and the more premium Suite Design Selection.
Skoda Epiq electric SUV features & safety
The Skoda Epiq also gets a major tech upgrade with a new 13-inch infotainment system based on Android architecture. It comes with updated graphics, customisable layouts, built-in Google Maps, Spotify, YouTube, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. Every variant also gets a 5.3-inch digital driver display.
Skoda is also focusing heavily on connected features. Through the MySkoda app, users can remotely manage charging, pre-condition the cabin, and monitor vehicle functions directly from their smartphone. A Digital Key feature allowing phones to function as the car key is also planned through a future software update.
Feature packages vary by trim, but highlights include heated seats and steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, a Canton sound system, panoramic camera setup, and advanced Travel Assist functions with remote parking support on higher variants.
Skoda Epiq EV battery, powertrain, and charging: three variants, up to 440 km, and bidirectional charging
The Skoda Epiq will be offered with two battery options and three power variants globally. The entry-level versions use a 38.5 kWh battery, while the top-spec Epiq 55 gets a larger 55 kWh pack with a claimed range of around 440 km. Power outputs range from 85 kW on the Epiq 35 to 155 kW on the Epiq 55. All variants are front-wheel drive and use a single electric motor setup.

The top variant also supports DC fast charging up to 105 kW, allowing a 10-80% charge in roughly 24 minutes. Skoda has also introduced one-pedal driving for the first time on its EVs. The Epiq additionally supports bidirectional charging, meaning it can power external devices or even supply electricity back to a home or the grid with compatible hardware. Underneath, the SUV uses a MacPherson front suspension and a torsion beam rear setup, with disc brakes on all four wheels.
Skoda Epiq EV safety — 7 airbags standard, Travel Assist 3.0 & Crossroad Assist
Even in its standard specification, the Skoda Epiq comes with a comprehensive safety package. Standard assistance systems include Front Assist, Side Assist with Rear Traffic Alert and Exit Warning, Lane Assist, a Predictive Speed Limiter, Intelligent Speed Assist, and Traffic Sign Recognition Online, which uses both the front camera and continuously updated online map data. The Driver Alert system in the Epiq monitors driver fatigue by tracking eye movements via a camera integrated into the rear-view mirror. Seven airbags are standard across all variants, including a centre airbag positioned between the front seats.
Higher variants and optional packages add more advanced systems through Travel Assist 3.0. These include Traffic Jam Assist, Emergency Assist, adaptive lane support, and advanced parking functions like Remote Parking and Trained Parking. The Epiq can also be equipped with Crossroad Assist, which helps detect vehicles, cyclists, and other road users approaching from the side at intersections.
Skoda Epiq EV price & bookings

The Skoda Epiq starts from £24,950 in the UK in SE L trim, placing it at price parity with the petrol Skoda Kamiq. The Edition trim starts from £27,700. A limited First Edition version will also be available from launch, though pricing for that variant has not yet been confirmed by Skoda.
Order books officially open in July 2026, with initial orders focused on the SE L and Edition trims paired with the larger 55 battery, alongside the First Edition. The smaller battery Epiq 40 is expected to follow later in the year. Deliveries are expected to begin in the second half of 2026 for the first orders. The Epiq is produced at Skoda's plant in Pamplona, Spain, which has been expanded to accommodate production of the Epiq alongside the Volkswagen ID. Polo.
Skoda Epiq EV first limited Edition launch
Shortly after the Epiq's market launch, a limited First Edition will be introduced. Based on the Selection trim and technically matching the Epiq 55 variant, it delivers 155 kW and around 440 km of range. The First Edition is defined visually by Navajo Orange accents on the mirror caps, the trim above the side windows, wheel cover stripes, and the surrounds of the vertical openings in the front and rear bumpers. A two-tone paint finish with a black roof and black roof rails adds further distinction, and exclusive 20-inch alloy wheels are fitted as standard.
Inside, orange stitching runs across the seats and dashboard, while orange seat belts add a striking visual contrast. A three-spoke sports steering wheel with orange stitching and a First Edition badge, black headlining, sports pedal covers, and decorative door sills complete the cabin's distinct character. The First Edition is available in five exterior colours and includes both the Convenience and Tech Packages as standard, with the Travel Package and Light and View Package available as options.
