Tesla Delhi dealership launch date

 

Tesla is all set to launch its Delhi dealership on August 11, 2025. The Tesla Delhi dealership is set to open in Worldmark Aerocity, adjacent to the Indra Gandhi International Airport. The Aerocity is known for its corporate offices and eateries, thereby boasting heavy footfall that should be favourable for a luxury brand like Tesla.

Tesla Model Y — First model for India

 

The Model Y—the best-selling Tesla globally—comes to India in standard and long-range variants with rear-wheel-drive only. While the RWD variant is priced at Rs 59.89 lakh ex-showroom, the Long Range RWD variant is priced at Rs 67.89 lakh ex-showroom. Interestingly, Tesla is also offering a Full Self-Driving package—which will be offered via an update in the future—for an additional Rs 6 lakh. Tesla Model Y deliveries are estimated to begin from the third quarter of the year 2025.

Interested Tesla buyers in India can book the Model Y with a token amount of Rs 22,000. What’s important to note is that the initial payment of Rs 22,000 will be followed by a Rs 3 lakh booking amount, which will be due within 7 days from the date of first booking.

 

Tesla Model Y battery, performance and range

 

The Tesla Model Y comes to India with two battery pack options, the capacity of which remains undisclosed at the moment. The Tesla Model Y RWD range stands at 500km (WLTP-certified) whereas the Long Range RWD range stands at 622km (WLTP-certified). Despite having a larger battery capacity, the Long Range offers faster acceleration to 100kmph at 5.6 seconds—0.3 seconds faster than the standard RWD variant.

Coming to the charging infrastructure, while Tesla has not yet revealed its plan to offer Supercharging network, its website mentions the Supercharger charging, enabling the Model Y to achieve 267km worth of range in 15 minutes charge via a 250kW Supercharger. Along with the dealership, Tesla has also confirmed its Supercharger network, with the first ones being established in Mumbai.
