Maruti Suzuki Ertiga

The Ertiga has been India’s most selling 7-seater car for quite a while now, clocking 95,911 units of sales over the past six months. Toyota also sells a badge-engineered version of the Ertiga that it calls the Toyota Rumion. The Maruti Ertiga has emerged as the go-to MPV for cabbies, as well as for private users.

Mahindra Scorpio

The most selling Mahindra car in India also happens to be the second-most selling 7-seater car in India. Mahindra has sold 83,549 units of the Scorpio over the last six months. This figure includes the sale of both the Mahindra Scorpio Classic as well as the Mahindra Scorpio-N.

Maruti Suzuki Eeco

The Maruti Suzuki Eeco is available in multiple configurations, one of which is a 7-seater MPV. 67,072 units of the Maruti Eeco have been sold over the last six months, making it the third best-selling 7-seater car in India. MSIL recently discontinued the Maruti Eeco 7-seater variants, thus, the van will gradually be phased out of this list.

Toyota Innova

It’s no surprise that the Toyota Innova has made it to the list, as it has been the default choice for a large number of people who are looking for a 7 or 8-seater car in India. Toyota sold a combined 54,490 units of the Innova Crysta and the Innova Hycross over the last six months.

Mahindra XUV700

It’s not the Mahindra XUV700 or the Tata Safari to make it to the last spot on this list, but it is the Mahindra Bolero that stands as the fifth most sold 7-seater car in India. Mahindra Auto sold 48,218 units of this workhorse over the past six months, including the sales of the Bolero, Bolero Neo, and Bolero Neo Plus.
