Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) sold a total of 28,218 units in September 2026. This includes 25,027 units sold domestically and 3,191 units exported during the month. The company continued its steady sales growth in the calendar year, with cumulative sales also remaining strong during the first nine months of 2026.

Between January and September 2026, Toyota Kirloskar Motor recorded cumulative sales of 2,94,914 units. This is an 8% increase over the 2,72,824 units sold during the same period last year.

Domestic sales stood at 2,69,619 units during the nine months, up 9% year-on-year. Exports, meanwhile, stood at 25,295 units, down 2% from 25,743 units in the same period last year.

Commenting on the sales performance, Mr. Sabari Manohar, Executive Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said, "September witnessed continued customer interest across segments, supported by our focus on quality, durability and reliability. As we enter the festive season, we remain committed to strengthening customer engagement and working closely with our dealer partners to deliver enhanced mobility experiences and address evolving customer needs."

 

Toyota's India manufacturing footprint

 

Toyota Kirloskar Motor operates two manufacturing plants in Bidadi, Karnataka, with a combined production capacity of up to 3,42,000 units annually. The first plant, which started operations in 1997, has a production capacity of up to 1,32,000 units. It builds the Innova HyCross, Innova Crysta, Fortuner and Legender.

 

The second plant became operational in December 2010 and has a capacity of up to 2,10,000 units. It produces the Camry Hybrid, Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Hilux. Toyota's India lineup also includes the Glanza, Rumion, Urban Cruiser Taisor and Ebella. The Vellfire and Land Cruiser 300 are imported into India as completely built units (CBUs).
