Vinfast VF7 bookings open
Vinfast has officially began accepting bookings for the new VF7 electric SUV for a token amount of Rs 21,000. Interested buyers can either log on to Vinfast India website or reach out to their nearest Vinfast dealership to make the booking. It is worth mentioning that while the bookings for both SUVs are open, it’s the VF7 that will be launched first, followed by the VF6.

Vinfast VF7 launch and delivery timeline
The Vinfast VF7 India launch will take place in the month of August, 2025, following the inauguration of Vinfast’s brand-new assembly plant located at Thoothukudi in Tamil Nadu. The Vinfast VF7 deliveries are said to take place soon after the launch. As per the company, Vinfast’s Thoothukudi facility in Tamil Nadu represents a $500 million investment and will produce 150,000 vehicles annually when fully operational, creating approximately 3,500 direct jobs.
Vinfast VF7 specifications and features
Unlike the Vinfast VF6 that comes in a single powertrain option only, the Vinfast VF7 will offer two powertrain options — front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive. In either of the cases, the motor(s) will draw power from a 70.8kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 450km (FWD) and 431km (AWD). The VF7 FWD will use a front mounted electric motor putting out 204PS of power and 310Nm of torque whereas the dual-motor VF6 will offer 350PS of power and 500Nm of torque.
Speaking about the Vinfast VF7 features, it comes packed with LED headlights, 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connectivity suite, head-up display, wireless smartphone charger, front seats ventilation, reclining rear seats, panoramic glass roof, surround view camera, 7-airbags, Level-2 ADAS and 19-inch alloy wheels.

Vinfast India dealership network
Ensuring a seamless ownership experience, VinFast has signed agreements with 13 dealer partners to establish 32 dealerships across 27 cities, forming a 3S (Sales, Service, Spares) ecosystem. The initial set of dealerships will be established in key urban and emerging EV markets, including Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Cochin, Bhubaneshwar, Trivandrum, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Coimbatore, Surat, Calicut, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Shimla, Agra, Jhansi, Gwalior, Vapi, Baroda and Goa.
