It is to be noted that the sales numbers stated here include both diesel and petrol variants (also, EVs, in case of the Tata Nexon) of the respective cars. Furthermore, the actual number of units sold through the dealerships might differ.

1. Hyundai Creta - 16,293 units

It comes as no surprise that the Hyundai Creta has been the top-selling diesel car for June 2024. Hyundai sold 16,293 units of the Creta last month. Hyundai also launched the facelifted Creta in January this year. Hyundai Creta price ranges from Rs 10.99 Lakh to Rs 20.14 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

2. Mahindra Scorpio - 12,307 units

Mahindra is one brand that’s been selling more diesels than petrols recently. Mahindra sold 12,307 units of the Scorpio in June 2024, out of which 11,255 were diesel-powered. This includes both Scorpio Classic and Scorpio N. Prices for the Scorpio Classic lie between Rs 13.62 Lakh and Rs 17.42 Lakh , and Scorpio N prices range from Rs 13.85 Lakh to Rs 24.45 Lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.

3. Tata Nexon - 12,066 units

Tata Nexon is available with a petrol, diesel as well as an electric powertrain. Tata sold 12,066 units of the Nexon last month, making it Tata’s second best-selling car after the Tata Punch. Prices of the Tata Nexon range from Rs 7.99 Lakh to Rs 15.79 Lakh (ex-showroom) for the ICE-powered variants.

4. Hyundai Venue - 9,890 units

Hyundai Venue, Creta’s younger sibling, also finds a place in this list, with Hyundai selling 9,890 units of the compact SUV last month. The Hyundai Venue is priced between Rs 7.94 Lakh and Rs 13.48 Lakh. These prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

5. Kia Sonet - 9,816 units

Kia Sonet turned out to be Kia’s best-selling car in June 2024, contributing to 43% of the automaker’s sales in India. It offers a feature-packed interior with a wide variety of powertrains to choose from. The Kia Sonet price starts at Rs 7.99 Lakh, and goes up till Rs 15.75 Lakh (ex-showroom).
