The Indian car market has grown leaps and bounds in the last half a decade and a lot of new tech has trickled down from the premium end of the market into mass market cars. One such piece of tech is ADAS or Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. As the name suggests, it assists a driver when they are driving. Depending on the ADAS level, the car can accelerate, brake and steer automatically using inbuilt radar and camera sensors. Not just that, these sensors also cover blind spots around cars which the human eye cannot see. In short, ADAS adds to the safety quotient of a car, and in the event the driver is not able to react in time, ADAS can also brake in an emergency situation. Apart from safety, ADAS also adds to the comfort factor by taking over some routine tasks while driving.
With such benefits on offer, cars equipped with ADAS have seen a huge rise in their popularity among new car buyers. Thus, we have compiled this list of 10 best cars in the mass market arena that offer ADAS. The table below will give you a snapshot of the cars on offer, and below that, you can read about the cars in depth. Before we get started, keep in mind that the starting price mentioned in the table below is of those variants that come equipped with ADAS, and not a car’s actual base variant.

Conclusion
The first mass-market car to get ADAS in India was the MG Gloster, launched back in 2020. Since then, mass-market carmakers have begun to offer ADAS on their premium vehicles, and some, like Hyundai, Kia, and now Mahindra, are bringing it to their more budget offerings. Thus, if you are looking for a vehicle with ADAS, there are quite a few choices, and they will only continue to grow. However, make sure you get a demonstration of the ADAS system and its operation from the showroom staff before putting your money down, as experiencing this system for the first time in an uncontrolled setting can be a hair-raising experience. As for getting comfortable with it, it is easier to adapt to ADAS on open highways than in congested city traffic, and thus, you will have to fine-tune the settings of your ADAS system according to your driving style and the traffic congestion in your city.
