for the top-end variant, the Swift (Zxi+), by paying an additional Rs.14,000. The dual-tone colour schemes on offer are: red with a black roof, white with a black roof, and blue with a white roof.

. The new Swift produces 7PS of power more than the previous engine for a rating of 90PS and 113Nm.

Better Mileage Than Before

The 2021 Maruti Swift gets an

engine-idle start-stop function

that automatically switches off the engine when the car comes to a standstill, ideally at a traffic light or when the engine is idling for long. The claimed fuel efficiency or mileage of the 2021 Swift is around 23.2 kmpl from the existing 21.21kmpl for the manual and 23.76kmpl for the AMT (automatic) variant.

Safety Features & Driver Aids

The all-new Swift comes with a range of safety and driver assistance features such as

hill-hold assist and ESP

(electronic stability program) in the automatic variants. They also have dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchorage and the rear parking camera.

Extra Comfort

The 2021 Swift is also more comfortable than its predecessor; it now comes with

cruise control, auto-folding ORVM and a 4.2-inch TFT driver’s multi-information

colour display. The 2021 Maruti Swift comes with a range of minor updates that have enhanced the sporty hatchback's look and feel. Also, the

prices of Swift have increased by up to Rs 25,000

. It is currently priced between Rs 5.73 lakh to Rs 8.27 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
