Maruti Suzuki has been India’s best-selling automaker for as far as one can remember. The WagonR has been on top of Maruti Suzuki’s pyramid for the last six months, followed by Brezza, Ertiga, Swift and Dzire. Here’s a list of the best-selling Maruti Suzuki cars in India over the past 6 months.

Maruti Suzuki WagonR

Maruti Suzuki WagonR has been on the top of Maruti’s top-selling cars over the past six months. Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, this tallboy was able to gather 95,141 units of sales over the last six months, averaging nearly 15,850 cars a month.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza

The Brezza sits on the second spot of this list, selling 92,951 units over the last six months. This translates to around 15,450 units per month. The Brezza comes with a 1.5-litre K-series petrol engine producing 103PS of power and 137Nm of peak torque. There’s also an option of a factory-fitted CNG kit. 

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga

The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga comes at a close third, selling 92,508 units over the past six months. This was just 443 units less than the Maruti Brezza. MSIL sold an average of roughly 15,400 units monthly. Popular Maruti Suzuki Ertiga rivals include Renault Triber, Toyota Rumion, Kia Carens and Maruti Suzuki XL6.

Maruti Suzuki Swift

Maruti Suzuki Swift, which recently underwent a generational update, secured the fourth spot in the list of top-selling Maruti Suzuki cars in India, ranking just above the Maruti Suzuki Dzire. Maruti Suzuki sold 85,335 units of the Swift over the past six months, averaging at around 14,200 units a month.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire

Maruti’s popular compact sedan, the Dzire, secured the fifth spot on the list of best-selling Maruti Suzuki cars in India. Maruti Suzuki sold a total of 83,475 units of the Dzire over the past six months, averaging at around 13,900 units a month. The Suzuki Dzire is up for a facelift that is set to arrive later this year.
