2025 Renault Kwid update incoming — What to expect?
- 1Likely to feature cosmetic updates, new 2D logo
- 2Six airbags likely to be offered as standard
- 3Petrol, CNG options likely to carried over from current model
Hot on the heels of the Triber facelift and Kiger facelift, Renault is now gearing up to update its only remaining and most-affordable model on sale — the Kwid. The Renault Kwid saw great success in its initial years but the buzz toned down following the plummeting sales of small cars. Renault aims to amp up the Kwid in order to keep the momentum going until its new range of cars hit the showroom floors. Read the story to know more about the 2025 Renault Kwid and the expected changes it’s going to offer.
2025 Renault Kwid — What to expect
The 2025 Renault Kwid is likely to receive a few cosmetic updates, in line with the updated Triber and Kiger facelifts. Up front, the biggest change is likely to be the new 2D Renault logo. Furthermore, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the new Kwid with cosmetic updates, in the form of tweaked headlights, reprofiled bumpers and new wheel covers. However, given the minor changes made to the mid-lifecycle facelifts of the Triber and Kiger, do not expect any radical changes to the new Kwid.

2025 Renault Kwid features
Currently, the Kwid already comes with a long list of features that includes an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, steering-mounted controls, digital instrument cluster, power windows, powered side mirrors, TPMS, electronic stability program and more. With the upcoming update, the biggest change could be the addition of six airbags, in line with its arch rival — the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10.

2025 Renault Kwid engine options
With the Kwid 800cc long gone, the Renault Kwid continues with a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine that is likely to be carried over from the current model. Its engine puts out 69PS of power at 5500rpm and 92.5Nm of torque between 4150rpm and 4350rpm. This engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT option. Interested buyers can also choose the option of a dealer-retrofit CNG option that’s only offered with a 5-speed manual transmission.
2025 Renault Kwid launch timeline
The 2025 Renault Kwid launch is said to take place in the coming months. Looking at the recent launch activity from Renault, we expect the 2025 Kwid India launch to take place in the later stages of September 2025. Once launched, the Kwid will go up against the Maruti Alto K10, its sole rival in the Indian market.
