Jaguar Land Rover India has launched the 2026 Range Rover Sport Autobiography in India, priced at Rs 1.60 crore (ex-showroom). It is the first time that the Autobiography trim has been offered on the locally assembled version of the Range Rover Sport in India. Until now, if you wanted an Autobiography, you had to go for the fully imported model and pay a significant premium for it.

This move makes the flagship trim more accessible without losing any of the premium character that the Autobiography badge is known for. Bookings are now open across the country. Here is everything you need to know about the new model, from what kind of vehicle it actually is to how it is equipped and what it costs.

New Range Rover Sport Autobiography exterior design — familiar looks, exclusive details

2026 Range Rover Sport Autobiography

The Range Rover Sport Autobiography does not change the overall design. It keeps the same clean and squared shape seen in the current generation. The difference comes from a few details that set this version apart.

It gets 22-inch alloy wheels in a satin black finish with gloss black highlights. Red brake calipers add contrast and make it stand out a bit more. There is also subtle Autobiography badging to show the trim. Other features include flush door handles, soft-close doors, a powered tailgate with gesture control, heated and folding mirrors, and laminated glass. This glass helps reduce noise inside the cabin.

The model is offered in four colours: Borasco Grey, Ostuni Pearl White, Santorini Black and Carpathian Grey. Borasco Grey and Ostuni Pearl White are new and exclusive to this version.

2026 Range Rover Sport Autobiography interior and features — A proper luxury cabin

The new Range Rover Sport Autobiography cabin has a clear sense of luxury and a premium feel. The centrepiece is a 13.1-inch curved infotainment touchscreen paired with a 13.7-inch digital driver display. The interface is clean and responsive, and the layout avoids clutter. Key controls like climate and suspension are easy to access and commonly used functions can be pinned for quick use. It also supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The cabin features extended leather with semi-aniline upholstery on the seats, dashboard and door panels. The front seats are 22-way electrically adjustable and come with heating, ventilation and a massage function, which helps on long drives.

Rear passengers are well taken care of with reclining seats, heating and ventilation, and 11.4-inch rear screens. Other features include four-zone climate control, air purification system, a centre console refrigerator, ambient lighting, premium mats with illuminated tread plates, Meridian sound system, wireless phone charging, head-up display, and voice commands for hands-free control.

Range Rover Sport Autobiography engine and performance

The locally assembled 2026 Range Rover Sport Autobiography comes with two engine options. Both use a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine with mild-hybrid technology. The 48V system helps during acceleration and also recovers energy while braking. This improves efficiency and response.

The petrol P400 produces 400 PS and 550 Nm. It can go from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.5 seconds and has a top speed of 242 kmph. The diesel D350 produces 351 PS and 700 Nm. It does 0 to 100 kmph in 5.8 seconds and has a top speed of 234 kmph. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and all wheel drive.

It also get Land Rover’s Terrain Response system. This system adjusts the car for different surfaces like wet grass, gravel, or snow. For buyers who want more performance, there is the imported P530 version. It uses a 4.4-litre twin turbo V8 engine. It produces 530 PS and 750 Nm and can do 0 to 100 kmph in 4.5 seconds. It is more powerful but also much more expensive. The petrol and diesel versions here offer the same power as the earlier Dynamic HSE variants.
