Tata Motors seems to find its way to the top of the sales charts with innovative strategies and products. The Tata Punch, which had earlier consistently been ranking first on the list of Tata’s best selling cars in India, has now been pushed to the second place by the Nexon. The Altroz has made a comeback to the list, and has overtaken the Curvv. Here’s a list of the best selling Tata cars in India over the past six months, including the latest data for September 2025.

Tata Nexon

The Nexon has pushed the Punch to the second spot, which is quite an achievement. Tata sold 89,557 units of the Nexon over the last six months, averaging at around 14,926 units per month. The Tata Nexon is offered with a variety of powertrain options including petrol, diesel, electric, and now CNG too

The Punch has been pushed to the second spot by the Nexon. Tata Motors sold 73,455 units of the Punch over the last six months, which translates to an average of almost 12,243 Punches every month. The Punch is available in both petrol and CNG, as well as an electric version. There’s a facelift of the SUV coming soon, which might help it regain the throne.

Tata Tiago

 

Tata Tiago

 

While the Tiago might not be talked about much, it has secured the third spot in the list of top selling Tata cars in India when we look at last six months’ data. Tata sold 39,863 Tiago hatchbacks  during this period, averaging at about 6,644 units a month. Popular Tata Tiago rivals include Maruti Suzuki Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.

 

Tata Altroz

We’re happy to see the Altroz making a comeback to this list, selling a cumulative 20,957 units over the last six months, averaging at around 3,493 units monthly. The Altroz recently underwent its first proper facelift, with a refreshed design inside-out, and a few powertrain shuffles. Tata Curvv

 

2024 Tata Curvv ICE Front Profile

 

The Tata Curvv has not been selling very well, clocking 13,546 units over the same period, standing at the fifth spot in the list of the highest selling Tata cars in India. The Curvv is available with petrol, diesel, and electric powertrains, with a CNG version under consideration.
