Hyundai Motor India has revealed the first design sketches of the upcoming Hyundai Bayon. The model will be sold as an Intelligent Utility Vehicle (IUV) and is being developed as a global product.
Hyundai says the Bayon combines a stronger SUV design with features aimed at everyday urban use. Its design follows the brand's Art of Steel philosophy, which uses sharp lines, sculpted surfaces and strong proportions.

The Hyundai Bayon front sketch shows a bold SUV design with a sculpted hood, pronounced fenders and Hyundai's H-Edge lighting signature. The front also gets strong lower body elements that add to its SUV look.
The side profile has sharp character lines and muscular proportions. Hyundai says these elements are designed to give the BAYON a bold and youthful appearance while keeping its SUV identity. The interior sketch shows a modern cabin designed around technology and connectivity. Hyundai says the cabin will focus on easy-to-use features and a connected experience for urban users.

Commenting on the design philosophy of Hyundai Bayon, Mr. Simon Loasby, Senior Vice President & Head of Hyundai Design Center, Hyundai Motor Company, said, “As we introduce BAYON to India, we wanted it to make a confident first impression. Our goal was to create an Intelligent Utility Vehicle, where intelligent technology and thoughtful design come together for modern urban lifestyles. A high-tech interior within a tough exterior. The sculpted hood, bold fender volumes and distinctive H-Edge lighting create a strong and unmistakable presence, giving BAYON a character that feels capable, modern and distinctly its own.”
