Mahindra Vision SXT SUV unveiled — Mahindra Thar pickup?

Mahindra, keeping true to its 15th August tradition, has showcased a set of four new concept SUVs — Vision S, Vision X, Vision T, and Vision SXT. The Vision SXT is a pickup truck version of the Vision T that was also unveiled alongside. Here’s all that we know so far about the new Mahindra Vision SXT concept.

Mahindra Vision SXT design details

With it being based on the Vision T concept, the Vision SXT will also join the Mahindra Thar lineup, if launched. The concept features high ground clearance, off-road tyres, exposed tow hooks, six slat segmented front grille, and a flatbed with two spare tyres. Most of the exterior styling cues are picked up directly from the Vision T SUV concept.

Mahindra Vision SXT concept SUV interior

The interior of the SXT concept is also almost identical to that of the Vision T, albeit with a different colour theme. There’s a large portrait touchscreen unit in the middle, a digital driver’s display, A and B-pillar mounted grab handles, and a fancy gear lever. 

Mahindra NU_IQ platform

As is the case with all the concept SUVs showcased by Mahindra at the event, the Vision SXT is based on its new NU_IQ platform that supports ICE, electric, as well as hybrid powertrains. We do not know yet about the powertrain options that will be available on the Vision SXT. The platform can support front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations.

Mahindra Vision SXT launch timeline

The exact Mahindra Vision SXT launch date remains unknown, though it isn’t likely to be here anytime before the end of 2027.
