MG Motor India April 2025 sales register 23% YoY growth — Details inside

MG Motor India, formally known as JSW MG Motor India, has registered an impressive YoY growth of 23%. The carmaker dispatched 5,829 units from its factory to the dealerships in the month of April 2025, with the Windsor EV continuing to lead the charge. MG cars April 2025 sales

The MG Windsor EV continues to be the best-selling MG model in the country, contributing to the maximum share of April 2025 sales. MG Motor India dispatched 5,829 units in the month of April 2025, compared to the same month last year, the carmaker dispatched 4,725 units. MG Motor India recently achieved a significant milestone with the Windsor EV, crossing 20,000 sales in the Indian market.

2025 MG Windsor EV launch in May

MG Motor India is likely to announce the Windsor EV with the larger battery pack between May 7 and 8, as revealed by the BYD shared by the carmaker. In addition to the larger battery pack, the new 2025 MG Windsor EV may also offer a few additional features over the current mode, which could also include advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS). With the ADAS package, the Windsor EV could pack in features such as adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, auto emergency braking and a lot more. 

Upcoming MG cars in India

In addition to the upcoming MG Windsor EV accompanied by a larger battery pack, the carmaker is also set to introduce a new range of vehicles, under its premium Select brand. The MG Select brand will make its debut in the Indian market with the launch of the Cyberster electric roadster and M9 electric people mover, both of which were showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Auto Expo 2025. In addition, MG Motor India will also launch the Majestor SUV—a facelifted and more premium avatar of the Gloster SUV.
