- 2Range Rover Sport SV Edition Two now costs Rs 2.35 crore, down from Rs 2.75 crore
- 3Price reductions are 17.7% and 15% respectively
India’s luxury car market has seen a major shift. Jaguar Land Rover India has announced big price cuts for the Range Rover SV and Range Rover Sport SV. The move is linked to the India-UK Free Trade Agreement. While the rollout date is not confirmed yet, JLR has already reduced prices in anticipation of lower import duties. This means buyers are getting the benefit early.
This is not the first price revision. In September 2025, Land Rover had already reduced prices of Range Rover models after GST changes. The latest cuts are much bigger.
Range Rover SV now priced at Rs 3.50 crore

The Range Rover SV, which sits at the top of the lineup, has seen a major price cut. It is now priced at Rs 3.50 crore (ex-showroom), down from Rs 4.25 crore. That is a reduction of Rs 75 lakh, or about 17.7%.
It now also includes SV Ultra Metallic paint options in gloss and satin as standard, so buyers get more features along with the lower price.
Reports also suggest that Jaguar Land Rover may introduce a new standard SV variant of the Range Rover Sport at around Rs 2.05 crore, likely to attract more buyers in this segment.

Range Rover Sport SV now starts at Rs 2.35 crore
The Sport SV is the more performance-focused sibling, slightly smaller, slightly more dynamic. But it is still a well-equipped model. The Sport SV has been repriced at Rs 2.35 crore, ex-showroom, compared to its earlier price of Rs 2.75 crore, a reduction of Rs 40 lakh. That is a 15% drop.
The Range Rover Sport SV Edition Two's revised price of Rs 2.35 crore matches earlier market estimates exactly, suggesting the trade deal's duty structure was already fairly well understood within industry circles.
Range Rover SV & Sport SV engine specs

Both Range Rover SV versions come with a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine, producing over 500bhp, paired with an automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive. This engine has been a key selling point for both models. The combination of a large-displacement V8 with twin turbochargers gives these SUVs a character that mild-hybrid or smaller-engined alternatives cannot quite replicate and that is unlikely to change anytime soon.
Why did this price cut happen?
The India-UK Free Trade Agreement is the central reason behind this pricing revision. India-UK FTA was signed in July 2025 and CBU automobiles with an annual quota of 20,000 units can be imported into the country with reduced duties of 30%, down from 110%, eventually falling to 10% by the fifth year.
To put that in context, a duty of 110% nearly doubles the cost of an imported car before it even reaches the showroom. A reduction to 30% changes the economics of importing UK-made vehicles very significantly. The price reduction is linked to the revised duty structure expected under the India-UK FTA, but this benefit is limited to models imported as CBUs from the UK.
Not all models benefit from this. Locally assembled cars like the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Evoque, Range Rover Velar, and Discovery Sport will see no price change. The Defender and Discovery will also continue with existing prices, as they are manufactured in Slovakia and do not fall under the scope of the India-UK agreement. Buyers hoping for a Defender price cut will likely need to wait for a potential India-EU Free Trade Agreement down the line.
