The Tata Harrier EV delivered a perfect score of 32/32 in adult occupant protection—a rare feat under Bharat NCAP. The Mahindra BE 6 followed closely behind with 31.97/32, losing just 0.03 points. In the frontal crash test, the Harrier EV leads the BE 6 with a perfect score of 16/16 whereas the BE 6 scored 15.97 out of 16 points. Both passed the side pole impact test and received full marks in side impact testing.

Tata Harrier EV vs Mahindra BE 6 child occupant safety
Both EVs scored 45/49 in child safety. This includes 24/24 in dynamic testing, 12/12 in CRS installation, and 9/13 for vehicle assessment. Both models used i-Size ISOFIX rearward-facing child seats and offered ISOFIX anchorages in the 2nd-row outboard seats. Essentially, there’s no difference in child protection performance between the two — they are equally capable and well-equipped in this regard, scoring full five stars.

Both SUVs come packed with a full suite of safety features as standard. This includes frontal, side chest, and curtain airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), pedestrian protection, and seatbelt reminders for all seating rows. The higher variants of both SUVs further offer features such as surround view camera, advanced driving assistance systems and a lot more.

The Harrier EV leads slightly due to its flawless AOP score, though the BE 6 nearly matches it in all test parameters. Both the Tata Harrier EV and Mahindra BE 6 are among the safest electric SUVs tested under Bharat NCAP so far. While the BE 6 is incredibly well-rounded, the Harrier EV stands out with a perfect adult safety score and equal child safety credentials. If safety is your top priority, the Harrier EV is marginally the safer choice between the two.
