Maruti Suzuki e Vitara

Most of the details on the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara are already out. Buyers are still waiting for the Maruti e Vitara price to be revealed. This is expected in the first half of 2026, most likely in January. The price is likely to fall in the range of Rs 20–25 lakh ex-showroom.
The Maruti e-Vitara will have two battery options: 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The 49 kWh pack produces 144 PS and 189 Nm, while the 61 kWh 2WD version delivers 174 PS and 189 Nm. The AWD model boosts torque to 300 Nm.
Range for the 49 kWh version is 344 km, and the 61 kWh pack is rated at 543 km by ARAI. Maruti will also offer a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option for more flexible ownership. For full details, readers can check the complete coverage of the Maruti e-Vitara.
Tata Sierra EV

Tata has confirmed the Tata Sierra EV launch in 2026. Earlier, it was expected that the ICE version would arrive first followed by the EV. But this time the order is reversed. While the upcoming Sierra launch date is yet to be announced but the launch is likely in the early months of the year. The Sierra EV will compete directly with the MG ZS EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE6, and others.
The upcoming Sierra EV is built on Tata’s Acti.ev platform shared with the Curvv EV and Punch EV. It will likely use familiar battery options: a 55 kWh pack and a larger 65 kWh unit borrowed from the Harrier EV. The claimed range is around 500 km on a single charge. Higher trims may get an AWD drivetrain. Expected Tata Sierra EV price in India starts from Rs 20 lakh ex-showroom.
Vinfast Limo Green

To compete in India’s electric MPV market, VinFast will launch the Limo Green in February 2026. It will be the brand’s third model in India after the VF 7 and VF 6. The model is already on sale in Vietnam, where it comes with a 60.13 kWh battery, producing 204 PS and 280 Nm of torque. It can cover 450 km on a full charge. The Indian version is expected to carry similar specifications.
The VinFast Limo Green dimension measures 4740 mm in length, 1872 mm in width, 1729 mm in height, with a 2840 mm wheelbase and 180 mm of ground clearance.
Tata Punch EV Facelift

Another model from Tata Motors is the Punch EV facelift. This will be the EV’s first mid-cycle update and is expected to arrive in the first half of 2026. The core battery specifications will remain unchanged. The focus will be on design updates, new or upgraded features, and possibly fresh colour options for both the interior and exterior.
Currently, the Tata Punch starts at Rs 9.99 lakh ex-showroom. With the facelift, a price revision is likely, adding a few thousand to the current cost.
Kia Syros EV

A new addition to Kia India’s EV lineup is said to be the Kia Syros EV. While it hasn’t been spotted often, a few sightings have surfaced in the past. The EV is likely to carry over the ICE version’s design with a few EV-specific touches such as a closed grille, new badging, and subtle styling updates. Features are expected to be borrowed from the ICE sibling, with some replaced or updated to suit the EV.
Details about the Syros EV powertrain are yet to be revealed. Since it shares battery technology with the Hyundai Creta Electric, the India-spec Syros EV will likely use battery packs from a similarly sized Hyundai, possibly the Inster EV, which comes in 42 kWh and 49 kWh options. The Kia Syros EV India launch is expected in Q1 2026. Upon arrival, it will compete with models like the Mahindra XUV400, Tata Nexon EV, and Punch EV.
Toyota Urban Cruiser EV

Everyone got a first look at the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV when the concept was revealed globally in December 2024 and later showcased at the Bharat Expo 2025. Essentially, the Urban Cruiser EV is the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara in Toyota clothing. It is built on the new Heartect-e platform, developed jointly by Suzuki, Toyota, and Daihatsu. The upcoming Urban Cruiser EV measures 4,285 mm long, 1,800 mm wide, and 1,640 mm high, with a 2,700 mm wheelbase.
It offers two battery options internationally: a 49 kWh pack with 144 PS and 189 Nm, and a 61 kWh pack delivering up to 184 PS and 300 Nm. Front-wheel drive is standard, with all-wheel drive available on the larger pack. The range can exceed 550 km. The Toyota Urban Cruiser EV launch in India is expected in 2026, likely in the first half or mid-year.

Tata Motors is stepping into the premium segment with the Tata Avinya EV, following years of focusing on the mass market. The production-ready version is based on the concept shown at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo.
Interestingly, Avinya will operate as a separate brand, with its own showrooms and customer touchpoints, distinct from Tata and Tata EV networks.
The automaker has announced that its first EV SUV under the Avinya badge will launch toward the end of 2026. Built on a modified JLR EMA platform, it is expected to offer over 500 km of range, fast charging, dual screens, and advanced tech features like V2L and V2V connectivity.
