Toyota cars April 2025 sales register 33% YoY growth

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has registered a YoY growth of 33% in the month of April 2025. The Japanese carmaker managed to dispatch 27,324 units, despite plant shutdown. Read the story further to know interesting insights surrounding Toyota cars April 2025 sales.
Toyota April 2025 car sales
As we mentioned earlier, Toyota Kirloskar Motor dispatched 27,324 units, which included 24,833 domestic and 2,491 export units, in the month of April 2025, marking an increase of 33% in terms of YoY growth. In the same month last year, the carmaker dispatched 20,494 units. What’s interesting to note is that between April 21 - 25, the Toyota plant was shut for annual maintenance.

Speaking on the impressive sales results, Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President of Sales-Service-Used Car Business at TKM said, “the continued sales momentum to the company's "multi-pathway approach" offering diverse technology options that respond to changing customer preferences”. Furthermore, he highlighted the positive market response to the recently enhanced Urban Cruiser Hyryder with its upgraded safety and convenience features.

Toyota FY 2024-25 yearly car sales
Toyota Kirloskar Motor recorded its best-ever fiscal year sales result, registering total sales of 3,37,148 units in FY 2024-25, marking a growth of 28% over 2,63,512 units in FY23-24. Speaking about the key motivators behind this boost, the 35% increase in SUV & MPV sales turned out to be one of the biggest drivers. The Toyota SUV range includes both legacy models like the Fortuner and LC300 as well as shared products like the Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Taisor.
Furthermore, the carmaker also registered a massive boost in its export sales, registering a surge of 59% year-on-year, reinforcing the carmaker’s efforts in making India its global export hub. Other key highlights as per the carmaker in achieving the best-ever yearly sales were expansion to tier-2 and tier-3 cities and enhancements to customer services like T CARE, T GLOSS and Toyota Mobility Solutions for pre-owned cars.
