There’s an assorted lineup of new cars in India coming our way in the month of May 2025, including a facelifted version of the Tata Altroz and Volkswagen’s much-awaited hot hatch — the Golf GTI. Kia is also ready with the Clavis, with the Carens-based Clavis EV coming a little later. MG is being said to have a bigger battery pack for the Windsor, too. The Kia Clavis launch in India is scheduled to take place on June 2, 2025, and the updated MPV is expected to be sold alongside the current model, while being priced higher than it. Kia is likely to offer the same engine options on the facelifted model as the current one.

MG Windsor EV (bigger battery pack)

Estimated starting price: Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom)
MG is being said to have a bigger battery pack for the MG Windsor EV on the cards for a launch in May 2025. This will enable the car to get a better real-life range, and will naturally be priced higher than the current car.
Tata Altroz Facelift

Estimated starting price: Rs 6.8 lakh (ex-showroom)
The upcoming Tata Altroz Facelift has been spied testing a few times, and is likely to be launched sometime in May 2025, rumoured to be on the 21st. It is expected to feature quite a few styling changes to make it look alike the newer Tata cars in India such as the Nexon and Harrier.

Volkswagen Golf GTI

Estimated starting price: Rs 49 lakh (ex-showroom)
The much-awaited Volkswagen Golf GTI launch in India is going to happen this month. This hot hatch will come powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that has been tuned to put out 265PS of peak power and 370Nm of maximum torque. Also, it has no direct rivals in India, making it quite a special offering.
