What to expect from the Mahindra Vision X concept SUV?

Mahindra has put out a second round of teasers for its upcoming concept SUVs in India set to be revealed on this year’s Independence Day. While we can’t confirm what SUV does the Vision X concept precede, a few details suggest that it might be the upcoming Mahindra XUV700 electric. Here’s what to expect from the Mahindra Vision X concept SUV. 

Upcoming Mahindra Vision X concept

While the other three concepts — Vision S, Vision T, and Vision SXT — hint at rugged SUVs from the Thar and Scorpio families, the Vision X teasers suggest a more modern and urban-focused vehicle, likely to be an EV. The teasers show smooth-flowing lines on the bonnet, normal tyres (instead of the all-terrain ones on some other concepts), non-aggressive wheel arches, and a modern front bumper.

Mahindra XEV 7e 

Following the launch of the Mahindra XEV 9e and Mahindra BE 6 electric SUVs, the next electric SUV from the Indian carmaker is expected to be an electric version of the popular XUV700. While there is no official confirmation from the brand, there are favourable chances that the Vision X concept might just be the XEV 7e, or the XUV700 electric, whatever Mahindra chooses to call it.

Mahindra Freedom_nu event

Continuing its tradition, Mahindra is set to host a grand event at this year’s Independence Day, with four concepts expected to be revealed. While the brand hasn’t confirmed any models, we expect one of them to be an iteration of the Thar electric (Vision T), one to be a new member in the Scorpio family (Vision S), and another rugged SUV to join the Thar family (Vision SXT).
