Rolls Royce has been touted as one of the best carmakers in the entire world and not without a reason. The entire lineup by this BMW Group-owned British car marque makes some of the most luxurious cars ever and what’s even better is that this carmaker has been available in India for some time now. Currently, their range starts at a whopping Rs 6.2 crore (on-road), while the most expensive model costs Rs 11.35 crore with all the extra options chosen. This goes on to show the exorbitant price tags these cars come with. Here’s a look at the best Rolls Royce cars in India-
Rolls Royce Phantom
The current generation Rolls Royce Phantom, which is the eighth version of the company’s famous sedan is currently priced at Rs 9.5 crore for the standard version and Rs 11.5 crore with all the options. Like all other cars from Rolls Royce, even the Phantom is available with many optional extras, which make the car even costlier. The Phantom is underpinned by a full-aluminum spaceframe chassis which makes the latest car safer, stiffer and lighter than the previous version. Powering the Phantom is a 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12 engine that produces 571 PS 900 Nm.
The Rolls Royce Ghost can be viewed as the baby sibling of the Phantom as it gets the same design language and features but is a shoe size smaller. The Ghost shares aplenty with the BMW 7-Series but that doesn’t make it any less of a Roller. In fact, the carmaker has cleverly re-engineered the platform of the 7’er to ensure that the higher price tag of the Ghost is justified. Available at a starting price of Rs 6.21 crore, the Ghost is your cheapest ticket to the Rolls Royce Club.
The Cullinan is the first-ever SUV from the luxury car marque. It costs a whopping Rs 6.75 crore (ex-showroom, pan-India) and locks horns with the Bentley Bentayga. The Cullinan is based on the company’s latest spaceframe platform that is billed ‘The Architecture of Luxury’. The exorbitantly priced SUV is powered by a 6.75-litre V12 petrol engine that makes a maximum power of 571PS and a peak torque of 850Nm. Of course, a highly capable 4-wheel drive system is standard.
The Rolls Royce Wraith is the one for you if you need top-class luxury along with the sportiness that comes associated with a 2-door coupe. The Wraith, like all its siblings, has a great build quality and its cabin is made up of upmarket and exquisite materials. Like the Phantom and Cullinan, the Wraith is powered by a 6.75-litre twin-turbo petrol engine. The motor comes mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that drives the rear wheels.
The next car in our list of Best Rolls Royce cars in India is the Dawn, which is a luxury-infused convertible priced at Rs 6.25 crore. The Dawn can be viewed as the drop-top version of the Wraith and comes with the same features as the Wraith along with the flair of a convertible. That said, its engine is slightly de-tuned as compared to the Wraith. The 6.6-litre turbocharged motor outputs 570 PS and 780 Nm, and comes linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
