Hyundai has already delivered some of the most popular cars that have graced Indian roads over the years. Models such as the Eon, Accent, and the irreplaceable Santro gave buyers a look into what the South Korean giant had to offer. Now, with the heightened demand of modernization in the industry, Hyundai has risen to the challenge to sell cars with upgraded features and technology that can live up to their customers’ expectations. Let’s take a look at some of the upcoming Hyundai cars that will be making their appearance in 2019-2020.
|Hyundai Santa Fe 2019||Expected Price: 27.0 Lakh|
|Hyundai Elantra 2019||Expected Price: 15.0 Lakh|
|Hyundai Grand i10 Nios||Expected Price: 4.99 – 7.99 Lakh|
|Hyundai Verna 2020||Estimated Price: 15.0 Lakh|
|Expected Launch||October 15, 2019|
Definitely considered as one of the most anticipated cars of the year, the Hyundai Santa Fe 2019 SUV is said to come with a plethora of features that will take “customized driving” to a whole new level. The company has announced that the Santa Fe will be the first car from them to implement a fingerprint sensor technology. This technology will not only give owners keyless entry, it will also be used to start the car and turn off the ignition with just a touch. Once registered, the owner (or other registered users) will get the opportunity to customize their driving experience by automatically adjusting the seats, rear view and side view mirrors, and even the steering wheel by placing their finger on the scanner. Nothing much else is known about the car except that it will house a 2199 cc diesel engine with manual transmission offering 194bhp, but, since the release date is quickly approaching, we may find many people readying their RC transfer papers come October.
|Expected Launch||November 11, 2019|
|Engine||2.0L Petrol, 1.6L Diesel|
As is with most facelifts, the Hyundai Elantra 2019 is set to feature a stunning new exterior that gives it much-needed sharpness and styling. The front profile of the car has got a major upgrade and now comes with a new bumper, grille, headlamps, and hood. To match the sleek new design, the rear also features new tail lights and a bumper with sharp contours. Although the exterior of the car has received a facelift, it seems like Hyundai has stuck to the same interiors and 2.0L petrol engine found on the fifth-generation Elantra but have added a powerful 1.6L diesel engine as well. Many Indians have spotted taped up Hyundai Elantra’s being tested all over the country which means it should be launching very soon.
|Expected Launch||November 30, 2019|
|Engine||1.2L Petrol, 1.2L Diesel|
The Hyundai i10 was another extensively used car from the South Korean manufacturer, here in India. Now, the Grand i10 Nios is set to turn heads in November, 2019 with bigger features than ever before. Starting things off, the model comes with either a 1.2L petrol or diesel engine that offers AMT or Automated Manual Transmission on both variants. In fact, the Grand i10 Nios will be available in 5 different variants, including the Era, Sportz, Sportz Dual Tone, Magna, and Asta. The exterior of the car also comes with new features, including a cascading grille, new rear bumper, LED daytime running lamps or DRLs, and new tail lights. On the inside, the car features a stylish dashboard with a touchscreen 8-inch infotainment system and newly positioned air-conditioning vents.
|Estimated Launch||December 15, 2019|
|Engine||1.5L Petrol, 1.5L Diesel|
|Transmission||Manual, CVT, AT|
If you think of popular Hyundai cars in India, Verna is a name that immediately pops up, and for good reason. The car offered buyers so much more than what they were paying for. But, it seems like the South Korean manufacturers have decided to give their faithful customers even more, with the new Hyundai Verna 2020. Firstly, the newer model is just a bit smaller in length, but bigger in terms of width and height, when compared to the currently available model. The car will come with 1.5L petrol or diesel engines that have a 6-speed manual transmission. The petrol variant will also have a CVT option while the diesel variant will come with a 6-speed AT system. On the exterior, the front of the car gets a new grille, bumper, hood, as well as headlamps while the rear now comes with a new bumper, a red strip connecting both tail lights, and a sporty diffuser. A new 8-inch infotainment system, wireless charging pad, 6 airbags, and a digital dashboard make up for the new interior changes.
When it comes to Hyundai, people seem to stand up and pay attention whenever they announce a new car, and it seems like that would be the case with these upcoming models as well. Combining the latest technology with premium features, and an affordable price tag, Hyundai’s new cars will have potential buyers using a used car evaluation tool and any other means to get their hands on one. That is what makes them such a dominant force in the industry and one of India’s leading automobile manufacturers.
