MG Gloster Facelift
The MG Gloster Facelift is set to arrive as an upgraded version of the current model, bringing notable enhancements in design, technology, and driving dynamics. It is expected to offer a more refined interior, updated ADAS suite, and improved terrain management features. The diesel powertrain is likely to receive updates for better performance and fuel efficiency. A revamped exterior, updated infotainment system, and a more luxurious cabin will position the Gloster Facelift as a stronger contender against the Toyota Fortuner. Its launch will aim to help JSW MG Motor India further consolidate its presence in the premium SUV space.
The MG Gloster Facelift is anticipated to launch in India at price range of approximately ₹38-43 lakh (ex-showroom). Competing with the Toyota Fortuner, it is expected to deliver an upgraded feature set, enhanced performance, and robust off-road capability. The on-road price will fluctuate based on state-wise taxes, insurance, and registration fees. With a refined diesel powertrain, an upscale cabin, and an advanced ADAS suite, the Gloster Facelift aims to strengthen JSW MG Motor India’s position in the high-end SUV market.
The MG Gloster Facelift is expected to build upon the current Gloster’s specifications while introducing notable upgrades. It will likely continue with the 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine, albeit in a revised state of tune. Currently, the motor produces approximately 215 bhp and 480 Nm of torque. The transmission options will be carried over, which means even the facelift will offer an 8-speed automatic transmission and an optional 4WD system. Inside, the SUV will feature a spacious 7-seater layout, a more refined cabin, and advanced technology. Highlights may include Level-2 ADAS, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, connected car features, and power-adjustable ventilated seats, ensuring a more premium and high-tech driving experience.
The MG Gloster Facelift will compete with premium full-size SUVs in India, including the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, Skoda Kodiaq, and Volkswagen Tiguan. Armed with upgrades in design, features, and performance, the Gloster Facelift should strengthen its brand’s position in the segment by providing a tougher challenge to its established rivals.
