2025 Kia Carens spotted undisguised ahead of launch — Top things to know

As we are nearing the 2025 Kia Carens launch, a new image captures the new Carens undisguised, revealing its rear profile with all the changes that it will offer. 2025 Kia Carens spotted undisguised

Likely to be captured during the TVC shoot, the undisguised spy image of the new Carens reveals its rear profile. As revealed in the earlier spy shots as well, the 2025 Kia Carens rear profile will feature a connected LED light bar, adjoining the LED tail lights. We expect the LED tail lights to feature new LED elements and sequential turn indicators—similar to the Kia Seltos. Other details at the rear profile of the new Carens include a reverse light placed on the centre of the rear bumper and a beefier skid plate with silver inserts. Around the side, the new Carens will feature machined dual-tone alloy wheels, which seem to be a size larger than the ones seen on the current Carens.

2025 Kia Carens features and interior

As we are on the topic of 2025 Kia Carens features, prior spy shots gave us a sneak peek into what we can expect from the update. The highlight, of course, is the presence of a panoramic sunroof, making it one of very few affordable MPVs to offer a dual-pane unit. Another notable feature is the ADAS module, as seen in the images, that should enable Level-2 ADAS features in the 2025 Carens. Other upcoming Kia Carens facelift features could include a larger connected binnacle for the 12.3-inch infotainment system as well as instrument cluster, front and rear ventilated seats, surround-view camera, powered driver’s seat and more. The dashboard design of the new Carens could resemble the theme that was recently introduced in the new Syros.

2025 Kia Carens engine options

The upcoming 2025 Kia Carens engine options are likely to be the same as the current model. These engine options include a 115PS 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with a 6-speed manual, a 115PS 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission and a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT. 

2025 Kia Carens launch date

As per our sources, the 2025 Kia Carens launch is scheduled for June 2, 2025, while the model will be officially revealed a bit earlier on May 8, 2025. The new Carens will come with a new name and is expected to be positioned as a premium version of the current model. There are also talks that, along with the new MPV, Kia will continue to offer the current Carens in their lineup as well.
