Maruti Suzuki has launched the facelifted Baleno in India at a starting price of Rs 6,09,900, ex-showroom. The premium hatchback is sold through the NEXA network. The updated Baleno gets a new front design, more safety features and a refreshed cabin. Bookings are open for Rs 11,000. The biggest change is the addition of Level 2 ADAS, which is being offered on the Baleno for the first time.
2026 Maruti Baleno facelift design and exterior changes

The 2026 Baleno facelift gets a redesigned front end. It features a wider NEXWave grille with a 3D pattern and horizontal chrome slats. The front bumper and lower grille have also been updated. The car continues with LED daytime running lights, now called NEXTre. It also gets a chrome fender garnish and a shark-fin antenna. The facelifted Baleno is available in seven colours. A new Enigmatic Teal shade has been added to the range.
The Maruti Baleno facelift has a new Enigmatic Teal Green colour. It is also available in six other colours: Nexa Blue, Bluish Black, Baleno Red, Arctic White, Opulent Red, Splendid Silver, and Grandeur Grey.
Maruti Baleno Level 2 ADAS and safety features
The biggest update is the addition of Level 2 ADAS in the 2026 Maruti Baleno. The system uses a radar and camera to monitor the road and assist the driver.
The ADAS features include:
- Advanced Emergency Braking (AEB)
- Lane Keep Assist
- Lane Departure Prevention
- Lane Departure Warning
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- High Beam Assist
- Vehicle Sway Warning
- Forward Collision Warning
The Baleno also gets six airbags, ESP, ABS with EBD, hill hold control, reverse parking sensors and seat belt reminders. A Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is now offered as standard. It displays tyre pressure to the driver and helps identify low tyre pressure.

Maruti Baleno facelift cabin & features update

The 2026 Maruti Baleno facelift gets a dual-tone cabin with piano black inserts. The front seats are now ventilated and come with leatherette upholstery. Other features include a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also gets a Clarion premium sound system and a Qi-certified wireless charger with active cooling.
The 360-degree camera and Head-Up Display remain available. The car also gets Suzuki Connect, which offers more than 40 connected features. These include safety alerts, vehicle security, trip information, driving alerts and remote functions through a smartphone app.
Maruti Baleno facelift engine and transmission
The facelifted Baleno is powered by the new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Z12E petrol engine. It gets Idle Start-Stop technology and produces 82.93 PS and 112.4 Nm. The petrol engine is available with a 5-speed manual and an Auto Gear Shift (AGS) automatic gearbox.
The Baleno also gets a factory-fitted CNG option with the same engine. In petrol mode, it produces 82.93 PS and 112.4 Nm, while CNG mode delivers 69.75 PS and 101.8 Nm. The CNG version is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. In terms of efficiency, the petrol-manual version returns 23.80 km/l, while the AGS version offers 24.77 km/l. The CNG version delivers a claimed 33.61 km/kg.

Accessory packages and ownership
Maruti is offering two accessory packages with the facelifted Baleno. The Elegrande Collection adds subtle exterior styling elements, while the Novo-Spirit Collection gives the car a sportier look. The Baleno has been one of NEXA's key models for several years. With the facelift, Maruti has focused mainly on adding safety and comfort features while retaining the existing petrol and CNG powertrains.
