Maruti Baleno facelift mileage with petrol engine

Under the hood, the new Maruti Baleno facelift gets a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine with Idle Start-Stop and Dual VVT. The same engine is also used in the Dzire and Swift. It produces 82.93 PS at 5,700 rpm and 112.4 Nm at 4,500 rpm. It is available with a 5-speed manual and an AGS automatic gearbox. For mileage, the manual version gives 23.80 km/l, while the AGS automatic gives 24.77 km/l.

Maruti Baleno facelift CNG specification and mileage
For buyers looking at lower running costs, Maruti also offers the Baleno facelift with a factory-fitted S-CNG system, built around the same 1.2L petrol engine. In CNG mode, power drops to 69.75 PS at 5,700 rpm, while torque is rated at 101.8 Nm at 2,900 rpm. This dip in output is expected with CNG, since the fuel burns differently from petrol and the tune is adjusted for efficiency rather than outright power.
The CNG variant is rated at 33.61 km/kg, which is 9.81 km/kg higher, or about 41% better, than the petrol manual’s 23.80 km/l figure. It is available only with the 5-speed manual gearbox.
