Outline

Toyota has spent the year quietly addressing the gaps in safety across its lineup. It began by making six airbags standard on the Glanza, followed by the Taisor. Now, the Rumion finally gets the same treatment. Alongside this, the top-end V trim gets an extra feature. But what really makes this update stand out is the timing. It lands right as the GST reform comes into effect, reducing the tax burden on MPVs. That means instead of prices going up with the added safety kit, they’ve actually come down.

The 2025 Toyota Rumion is available in three trims: S, G, and V. All three now come standard with six airbags, a much-needed safety upgrade. Beyond that, each trim includes important safety features like ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, an engine immobiliser, ESP, hill hold control, Isofix child-seat anchors, front seat belts with pretensioners and force limiters, seat belt reminder lamps with buzzers for all seats, a high-speed alert system, speed-sensitive auto door locks, a security alarm, rear parking sensors, and central locking.

The V trim is also updated with a tyre pressure monitoring system. Additionally, on the convenience and tech front, the Rumion comes equipped with a 7-inch infotainment system, projector headlamps, push-button start with smart key, automatic climate control, remote keyless entry, cruise control, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, six speakers, Bluetooth connectivity, and more.
