While recent media reports suggested that the upcoming Skoda Octavia RS launch in India shall take place in the month of November this year, Skoda India has now confirmed the official date of launch, which happens to be much earlier than expected. 2025 Skoda Octavia RS launch date
Skoda will launch the latest generation of the Octavia in its RS guise on October 17, 2025. The Skoda Octavia RS bookings shall commence from October 6, with deliveries slated to start a month after — from November 6.
Upcoming Skoda Octavia RS price expectations
The Czech carmaker plans to bring just 100 units of the Octavia RS to India, which is half of as many that were made available of the previous generation. Expect the performance sedan to be priced northwards of Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it close to the Volkswagen Golf GTI.

Skoda Octavia RS specs
The India-spec Octavia RS gets a 2.0-litre TSI engine that has been tuned to produce 269PS of maximum power and 370Nm of peak torque. The turbo-petrol motor comes mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. It also gets a distinct exhaust system than the regular Octavia. The sedan can accelerate to 100kmph from standstill in just 6.4 seconds. The Skoda Octavia RS top speed has been restricted to 250kmph.
Skoda Octavia vRS interior and exterior
The RS-spec Octavia gets lots of exterior elements that distinguish it from the standard Octavia. It features a blacked-out grille, larger air intakes, vRS badges at the front and rear, a rear lip spoiler, and a different design for the alloy wheels. The RS also sits 15mm lower than the regular Octavia.
The design changes aren’t limited to the exterior, but to the inside of the cabin too. There are red inserts throughout the cabin, coupled with red ambient lighting. The sports seats come finished in black upholstery with red stitching. The steering wheel also features a vRS badge at the bottom.
