The 2026 Renault Duster has been unveiled in India. Built on the Renault Group Modular Platform RGMP, this new-generation Duster is more modern, more tech-focused and far more competitive than before. It comes loaded with features, including a Level 2 ADAS suite and introduces a strong hybrid E Tech powertrain based on a 1.8L petrol engine.

2026 Renault Duster design — What's new?

 

The next-gen Renault Duster exterior balances modern flair with rugged character. Up front, it features full LED headlamps and LED daytime running lights, with DUSTER lettering prominently displayed in the middle. Below, a chunky bumper with a silver skid plate and a wide lower air dam gives. There is also a vertical cut-out at each edge.

At the rear, a horizontal LED light bar stretches across, joined by V-shaped LED taillights that curve gently at the ends. Another skid plate is also visible at the rear. Practical touches like a Himalayan-inspired side embellisher, an iconic yellow door decal, rear wiper, roof rails with a 50 kg load capacity, a hood spoiler with integrated reflectors, and 18-inch black alloy wheels complete the package. The 2026 Duster design feels bold, upright, and ready for any terrain.

Duster ground clearance stood at 212 mm and the SUV makes the most of its interior space with a 518L boot up to the parcel shelf, expanding to 700L up to the roof.

With this generational update, the 2026 Renault Duster interior takes a noticeable step forward. The dashboard is well-equipped and thoughtfully laid out, featuring the Duster emblem with iconic yellow stitching and mountain jade leatherette upholstery patterned with the Renault logo.

The new Renault Duster features have expanded significantly. It comes with a 10.1-inch touchscreen at the centre, 10.24-inch digital cluster with map replication, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Car Connect features, AQI display with a PM 2.5 filter, automatic dual-zone air conditioning, centre console with an e-shifter, wireless smartphone charging, powered tailgate, panoramic sunroof, six-way powered front seats, and ventilated front seats, among others

Safety has also been strengthened. Six airbags come standard, along with front and rear parking sensors and a tire pressure monitoring system. The Level 2 ADAS suite covers 17 driver-assist systems, including adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go, 360-deg 3D around-view camera, active emergency braking, lane keep assist, and more.

New-gen Renault Duster petrol specs

 

Under the hood, the new Renault Duster comes with a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 163PS and 280Nm of torque, paired exclusively with a 6-speed DCT gearbox. There’s also a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol option that delivers 100 PS and 160 Nm, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The most attention-grabbing addition is the strong-hybrid petrol engine, built on a 1.8-litre 4-cylinder petrol unit producing 109PS. It comes with a 1.4 kWh battery pack that powers a 49PS electric motor. According to Renault, the setup is both responsive and efficient, with up to 80% of driving possible in electric mode. This engine will be available starting Diwali 2026.

 

2026 Renault Duster prices

 

The new Renault Duster price is expected to be revealed in March. While the official figures are still awaited, early estimates suggest it will fall in the Rs 10 lakh to 20 lakh range. At launch, the Duster will compete directly with rivals like the Tata Sierra, Maruti Suzuki Vitara, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, and Toyota Hyryder.
