The next-generation Hyundai Creta has not been officially revealed yet, but new digital renders give an early idea of its possible design. The current second-generation Creta continues to be sold in India, while the next model, codenamed SX3, has been spotted testing on Indian roads several times.
The latest renders, created by digital artist NYMammoth using recent spy shots. The SUV appears to take heavy inspiration from the new-generation Hyundai Tucson. Globally, the next-gen Creta is expected to be sold as the Kona. However, Hyundai is likely to retain the Creta name in India, where the nameplate is already well established.
New-gen Hyundai Creta design — What the new renders show

The rendered 2027 Hyundai Creta shows a new front-end design with slim LED daytime running lights placed high up, while the main headlamps sit lower in the bumper. Black panels run across the front, with a separate lower air intake.
The bonnet has sharp lines, while the side features squared wheel arches, black cladding and a straight shoulder line. The render also shows new alloy wheels, roof rails and a revised rear-quarter design. Some details look similar to the 2027 Hyundai Tucson, including the slim upper lights, lower headlamps and angular bumper. At the rear, the render shows a full-width LED light bar connecting the tail lamps through a black panel. The render carries KONA badging, while the India-spec model is expected to retain the Creta name.

These renders are not official Hyundai images. They are digital designs based on spy shots, so some details may change on the production model. The renders still give a good idea of the possible design direction for the next Creta, especially after the new Tucson revealed Hyundai's Art of Steel design language.

2027 Hyundai Creta interior
Along with the exterior changes, the next-gen Creta is expected to get a heavily updated cabin. Earlier spy shots suggest it could feature Hyundai's Pleos Connect infotainment system, along with a new dashboard, steering wheel and centre console. Existing features are also expected to return with upgrades.
Pleos Connect could allow Hyundai to add software updates, new features, operating system updates and some vehicle tuning changes even after the car is purchased. The system is also expected to keep physical buttons alongside the touchscreen for easier control.
Upcoming Hyundai Creta powertrain

On the powertrain side, the biggest addition tipped for the new Creta is a strong-hybrid setup, reportedly built around a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. Hyundai's existing petrol and diesel engine options are expected to continue alongside it.
Next-gen Hyundai Creta launch & rivals

The next-generation Creta is expected to launch in India in early 2027 with major design changes. It will continue to rival the Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra, Renault Duster, Maruti Victoris and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
