Best selling Maruti Suzuki cars in India — Wagon R who?

Maruti Suzuki has been India’s bestselling automaker for as far as one can remember. The Dzire sits on top of the charts, pushing the Wagon R to the fourth spot as the Ertiga climbs to second, in terms of cumulative sales over the last six months. The Swift and Brezza continue to sell in handsome numbers as well. Here’s a list of the best selling Maruti Suzuki cars in India over the past six months, including the latest data from July 2025.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire

The new generation of the Dzire has been a success for Maruti so far, outselling the Wagon R by a considerable margin, with a total of 1,03,372 units sold over the last six months. The Dzire comes powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that also does duty on the Swift. 

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga

The Maruti Ertiga had earlier been pushed to the fifth spot, but it has now made its way to the top ranks again, selling 94,347 units over the past six months. Popular Maruti Ertiga rivals include Renault Triber, Toyota Rumion, Kia Carens and Maruti Suzuki XL6.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza

The Maruti Brezza secured the third spot, selling 93,047 units over the last six months. This translates to around 15,500 units per month. The Brezza comes with a 1.5-litre K-series petrol engine producing 103PS of power and 137Nm of peak torque. There’s also an option of a factory-fitted CNG kit. 

Maruti Suzuki Wagon R

The Maruti Wagon R, once the most selling Maruti car in India, has now been pushed to the fourth spot. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, this tallboy was able to gather 92,056 units of sales over the last six months, averaging at around 15,300 cars a month.

Maruti Suzuki Swift

Maruti Swift, which recently underwent a generational update, secured the fifth spot in the list of top selling Maruti cars in India. Maruti Suzuki sold 90,207 units of the Swift over the past six months, averaging at around 15,000 units a month.
